Eyup everybody - in the new year I'm going to be making some sets of realistic flight controls for WW-2 aircraft. It's an idea I've had for about 5 years and got partially into until life intervened a while back.
First will be throttle quadrants, with rad and trim controls. They'll be focused on realism rather than a multitude of buttons and hats, but I'm not going down the route of making them aircraft specific. Probably a German and an English style, given the difference between the philosophy of operation between the national manufacturers.
I don't have anything to show yet, apart from a couple of photos that survive from two earlier projects. One you'll recognise, the other is a gear lever for a 60's BRM Formula One car, that was intended for sim racing use.
What I'm hoping to get is feedback from you guys on what you'd like in terms of blobs and gadgets on a throttle quadrant, and the general design. In the fullness of time, beta testers too
