While reading about spatial sound capability that comes free in Win 10 Creator's Update, I asked the question can I get this to work on Win 7?
1st Question...What is Spatial sound and why would I want it?
Spatial sound is an enhanced immersive audio experience where sounds can flow around you, including overhead, in three-dimensional virtual space. Spatial sound provides an enhanced atmosphere which traditional surround sound formats cannot.
With spatial sound, all your movies, music and games will sound better.
2nd Question... where do I get the software?
https://spatialsoundcard.com
There is a download button that appears not to function correctly, at least for me using Firefox.
I overcame this irritation by right clicking the button and choosing
Open link in new tab, this then povides a downloadable .exe file.
3rd Question... what is your hardware setup and which OS do you use Steerpots?
I use Sony MDR-XB550 wired headphones attached to Sound Blaster Recon 3D pci-e sound card operating on Win 7 Ultimate.
All on an Intel core i5 running at 3.40GHz with 8 GB of RAM.
All things considered not an unusual machine, which hopefully points to spatial sound software working on similar/superior machines
4th Question... what settings did you use Steerpots?
*** There are some paramaters/settings that are unlocked only when you buy a licence ***
I have not purchased a Licence
TWC Steerpots
