    Hi All,

Just installing COD Blitz on Steam and getting to grips with configuring the HOTAS. I am based at Old Sarum near Salisbury so keen to create a mission around my area, (Old Sarum and Boscombe Down).

Possibly some ATA flights out of the High Post delivering Spits, new off the production line.

Hi RAvenx.....good to have you here and...... welcome to the ATAG Forum and servers.

Ahhh! When my wife and I were first going out we were training in Cambridge, England. My wife's digs were owned and 'guarded' by a fiercesome battleaxe of a woman, who was ex.......you've guessed it....ATA, during the war. She was a formidable character. She used to run a bridge school and one evening when the players all turned up for a session she said:
'No, we can't play in there because my Mother's in there, dying.' Huh! She wasn't going to postpone her bridge session...not for nobody, not nohow!

She was tough as old boots and fearless with it. She told me she would often be ferrying Spitfires from Castle Bromwich to the squadrons in the morning and then a Lancaster in the afternoon. Fancy flying a Lanc'......all on your own? No fear! They were tough cookies those ATA ladies! Respect.

Have a good look on the ATAG Forum, RAvenx, because there is masses of info to help you get going. For instance: the latest Highseas Tour started from Old Sarum airfield just a couple of days ago. Air fighting was suspended for the evening whilst pilots from all nations took part in the Tour which saw us flying from Old Sarum down to Poole Harbour, to the Needles, Selsey Bill, Ford....and on to the Kent coast. Great fun was had by all....we were able to chat together by means of Team Speak, a priceless program (it's free to download!) that helps us to cooperate together during sorties and...share the fun.

The Tour was put together by ATAG_ Highseas, who is one of our more serious and reserved pilots!!!! ( )

Do give multiplayer a try sooner rather than later... we'll all be there to 'wing up' with you! Have fun....good luck...and Salute!

Welcome to the Community and Forums RAvenx...~S~

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve too...

    Beginners Guide

    Windows Management Guide

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!

Here are a few fun, helpful and interesting links amongst these forums you might want to bag for future reference...
