    Misterious Beaufighter-Cockpit Element

    Hello everybody,

in the cockpit of the beaufighter, right hand site,
is a unknown element, I can not identify. At the
    frame near the side window.

It´s huge, black and has the shape of a propeller pitch.
(it´s defenetly not a reserve! ), on top of it, is a little silver
    dose...

what the hell is that? on different monochrome pictures from that time it looks
like some rubber-tube... maybe a part of the oxygen system?
No other ingame-cockpit has this element...

You know, these little fu...... details. They woun`t let you sleep...

    Thanks for your comment...

    An spare propeller blade.

The navigator is trained for walk over wing and change the blade in flight if need, like this guy change tire on moving car.

Dostal the piece of equipment you are talking about, I believe, is the large Black item with a silver top on the starboard side of the cockpit?

This is called a "Sanitary Bottle" and is shown in a diagram in the AP1721A 'Beaufighter Pilots Notes'.

As its description suggests it is for the crew to use should they need a comfort break on long flights.
