Probably old news, but I've only just viewed ACG Lest We Forget video of 15th September, 2016.
Bloody marvellous. ( Am I allowed to say that? )

Flying in big formation is so much fun!
But sadly there is few opportunities.
Once 5.0 and the new map is out, shouldn't we celebrate this with a red/blue tour along the coast of the Med?
Not trying to plug for ACG, but thats one of the great things about our campaign, you get to fly with your squadron up to 12 planes in formation every week. Its a great feeling.
And yeah I definitely think we should try to get one giant formation going to celebrate 5.0.... hundred+ plane formation

bravo! very good.
it's like a Highseas tour with actual planning.
As the creator of this event I had the privilege of planning and leading it. I was also able to put the video together by collecting the track recordings from a number of the participants. I think we only did one practice run before hand, but each squadron did spend some time practising their formation flying also.
Gotta say, it was a very hard thing to do and required precision to fly. My job was quite straight forward but for everybody else the job of keeping to their timings and staying in formation got harder as all the separate formations came together and merged into a single stream. Also, over London it became harder as well (maybe because of the greater polygons?)... certainly a good stress test of the server in any case.
I can also say that Croydon didn't actually look like it did in the video... there were a number of accidental smoking pyres which required careful editing out!
It is definitely something I would one day like to repeat - for commemorative purposes. It would be great to get squadrons from all across the community involved. If I was planning it again though I think I would keep at least a 30 second gap between formations. May be something we could do as an annual event to show our respect? Lest we forget.
Absolutely amazing video!!! Watched it yesterday for the first time on my ipad.....just watched again on a big screen TV....beautiful. Well done to all who took part. Bonkin, great job with the editing....very professional.
I am posting a link on our TWC forum as this is a must see for many reasons.
There's something good waitin' down this road

Planning?
Well, certainly not if I am involved ...
The main problem I see is that I have no idea how to turn off flak, if it was supposed to be a peaceful event. I think this would need a mission builder.
And I absolutely have no idea about the North African landscape.
Maybe once FG28 was flying on this map for some while, there might be some smoking craters called Tell DerDa, Wadi al Artist, Ceaserea, Djebel Dostal or Haji Kayo ...
Wonderful!
Excellent work putting the video together Bonkin and great flying everyone.
Thanks for this

Beautiful videos. Good work.

I flew 110 with a few that fly 110 over at ACG years ago. I wish I had time for serious flying, time and patience.
Good video Bonkin, always nice to see a well edited video about serious flying. It give loose flyers like me inspiration
