    Trouble with rudder

I've been using USB_PRO_PEDALS for a lot of years. Suddenly, it no longer works-apathetic little half twitch, or nothing. It can't be the pedals because the work in my other flight sims. Any ideas would surely be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Re: Trouble with rudder

    I have the CH_PRO.

They also stopped working (just one function, the toe breaks, first left, then right). Turned out to be internal electric wires that snapped after many years of usage. Re-soldered them and now they work fine again.

But if yours work with other sims then it cannot be that.

Have you tried to remap them? I noticed that sometimes the mapping gets "forgotten", especially if I plug my device into a different USB port. To prevent this from happening I use a dedicated 4-port USB hub marked Joystick, Throttle, Pedals, and TrackIR (so I always know which device goes where) and I always plug this hub to the same USB port on my PC. Never lost my mappings since.

    Hello, Jlan5031,

I'm no expert on this stuff - far from it.

But this sounds like a conflict in the key bindings. Have you checked your key and axis mappings?

    Re: Trouble with rudder solved

Thanks for both of your replies. In the middle of my response, your comments gave me a new idea. I changed usb ports, restarted my computer, and all was well. Thanks again to both of you for your help

Go into your device manager click on your HID's then right click go to power management and make sure your allow computer to turn off is not checked.
You will have to click on each one under HID but it will keep it from deleting your settings and turning off the port.
Also go down to your USB section and do the same thing.
Kinda pain in the butt. it beats fighting with your settings when you want to fly.

    Re: Trouble with rudder

This is a common recurring problem for some players who completely depower their computer when finished. (Power supply switch or computer on wall switch.) Keeping the AC power to the computer always ON will prevent a lot of USB re-mapping. An uninterruptable power supply adds an extra level of protection for power failures. Power consumption is negligible when the CPU is shut down.
