    Hello From Canada

Hello fellow pilots and many thanks to ATAG and team Fusion.

I am a returning pilot from about a year ago.
I greatly appreciate the Blitz patches and some of the new missions.

I am mostly a single player pilot.
I have two questions that I have searched for the answers but came up blank.

    Where are the screenshots stored?
I have looked in Steam,Blitz documents and Blitz Steam install and cannot find them.

The second question is when leading a flight in a single player mission can you send commands to your flight AI pilots?
I have looked in the setup commands for the joystick and keyboard and cannot find anything.

    Appreciate your help.

Look in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\screenshots

I have looked in the setup commands for the joystick and keyboard and cannot find anything.

Hit the tab key and use the menus.

    ATAG Oskar,

Thank you for the quick response.

I took some fresh screenshots and they are not in that location.
    It's a mystery to me.
I can see the sim slightly pause when I press screenshot so it seems to be taking a shot.

I have steam and Clod installed on my F drive which is an SSD and Clod is the only game or sim installed.

Thanks again and I will keep looking.

Are they being saved to Steam? Open your Steam Library and have a look.

    Hello Again ATAG_Oskar.

    That is a good idea.
I did not intentionally set up steam to store the shots but I can certainly see many changes to steam since I last installed it.

I don't know where to look in steam but I set an option to open the screenshot updater after closing the game if screenshots were taken under the cloud settings.

I'll fly one mission now and take a shot and let you know.

    Hi ATAG_Oskar,

No luck with steam finding the screenshots or with trying to disable screenshots with steam.

I am going to change the in sim key assignment for screenshot and then see what happens.

    Thanks.

    Re: Hello From Canada

    Hi ATAG_Snarglepuss,
    Thanks for the tip.
I normally never load it when I update the drivers but this last time I did.

But I have never used it or have an account with Nvidia.

I'll do some looking and if I can't make any headway I will delete it and install new drivers.
    Then try a screen shot

    Thanks again and good flying.

    Re: Hello From Canada

My thanks ATAG_Oskar and ATAG_Snarglepuss for the help and the tips.

I deleted GEforce Experience and installed new Nvidia drivers without Geforce and also changed the key assignment for screenshots and now the shots go where they are supposed to be.
Thanks for your time and help.

    Re: Hello From Canada

    Thank you ATAG_Lord Wukits !

Even though I prefer single player I might try the server on-line again.

The last time I tried it I had teamspeak set too loud and I heard about it.

I tried to follow the info link in setting TS up but the various audio settings I found
confusing like setting TS volume and then how to set your system audio software setting.

I am still using Windows 7.

But I think I will have another go of it.

    Re: Hello From Canada

Tell you what, When I get the opportunity tonight I will take a step by step screen grabs in helping you get TS setup. And if I see you online, we will jump on a separate channel to workout volumes/feedback.

    Sound like a plan?

    Here is a quick rundown for lowering your voice, if it is your voice that is too loud;
    TS1.png
    Open Teamspeak
1.) Select from the top ribbon 'Tools'
    2.) Scroll down to 'Options'
    3.) Select 'Playback'
4.) Adjust the 'Voice Volume Adjustment' to the left to make you quieter, and to the left to make you louder.

    If it is background noise that is this issue This will help isolate the problem, if not eliminate it;
    TS2.PNGTS2.PNG
Still in the options menu [follow steps 1.) through 2.) above

1.) Select 'Capture' from the right side list.
2.) Decide if you want 'Push to Talk', or 'Voice Activation'
    If you select Voice Activation;
3.) Adjust the 'Voice Activation Detection' to the left to eliminate the microphone from picking up background noise.
Then push the 'Begin Test' button. This without talking you will see what background noise is being picked up, and when you talk you will see where your speech levels are and can adjust the slider accordingly.
4.) and 5.) If you are getting feedback, and/or hearing an echo, select the check boxes next to 'Echo Reduction' and 'Echo Cancelation'.

    This should fix the Teamspeak issues. If they persist, it may be because you have your speakers near your microphone. If that is the case, I would recommend;
Aiming your speakers away from the microphone,
Using a headset instead of speakers,
Shielding your microphone from the speakers,
    Turing the speakers volume down.

Send me a PM when would be a great time to meet up, and we'll work this issue out with Team Speak.

    Re: Hello From Canada

Thank you very much ATAG_Lord Wukits
for your generous offer of help.

I am in the Pacific time zone in BC Canada

I will see if I can install Teamspeak today and perhaps get it setup and try it later today.

It has been over a year since I logged into a server and I have almost no on-line experience with any game
    let alone Cliffs of Dover.

I will try to PM you.

    All the best Seabeck

    Re: Hello From Canada

Hi Seabeck.......and welcome back to CLoD! Good to have you here! I flew single player for a whole year before ever plucking up the courage to venture into the black hole of Calcutta that is.....'on-line!' When I finally managed it, I thought I was trespassing in somebody's private garden and it took a while to realise that anybody could fly there, provided they kept the few rules there are.

Once I began to meet and get to know some of the wondeful characters that make up our unique Community....and then began to 'wing up' and fly with them I was totally hooked! Three years later I'm still here.

I am sure flying with Lord Wukits will make all the difference. You'll have niggly problems ironed out in no time. I remember being on Team Speak and being told (very poilitely) that I had 'an open mic'....and wondering what the hell it meant. Sooner or later somebody helped me out and I was fine! That's the great thing about this 'on_line Community'.......everybody is so willing to help!

Good luck with Lord Wukits. Have fun and hope to meet you in our virtual skies soon. Salute!

    Thanks Atag_Marlow,

You all are a great bunch of folks.

I have been a very avid student of history since I was a young teen
and reading about Lord Nelson and the Battle of Britain have always been at the top of my list.

I will give it a go.

Do I also need to install TSNotifier or just Teamspeak ?

    Re: Hello From Canada

As far as I know, the TS Notifier will show you who is speaking, and can be set up to show the names of the players (on your side) who are on TS at the moment.

It is not necessary, but nice to have.

Hi Seabeckfish, and welcome back to Cliffs of Dover and our community.

Hope you are getting your issues ironed out. Seems like you've been given some good pointers already. Any other questions then fire away either here or better still on TeamSpeak and I am sure we will be able to solve any issues that you might have.

Also, I would encourage you to give the online side of the sim a try, it's a whole new world

    Re: Hello From Canada

    Thank you Atag_Laser.

I have everything configured and backed up this time and my joystick is set up for full realistic flying
and all the guns are converged for the Hurricanes and the Spits.

I have about 60 hours flying single player but not full realistic.

I especially need practice on landings but I am getting there.

It is a beautiful experience and I really appreciate the graphics

and flying over parts of Jolly Good England.

One of my favorite movies came to the theaters in England just as the Battle of Britain was beginning.

The Seahawk and for a very young lad, English privateers were just the ticket. I saw the movie in the 50's.

    I am rambling on.

    Best regards
    Seabeck

You would be astonished to see, how much faster things go, when you go online and have somebody explaining the moves.
    Friendly help is guaranteed!

    Hope to see you there

I think you fly more complicated planes like the 109 or the 110.

I hope to see you also but not on my 6.

If I ever should manage to get on your 6 you shouldn't worry, unless I forgot to wear my glasses that is to say .
