Can't assign the joystick / pedals

I did a Windows install ( after 2-3 years ) and now I'm trouble, i can't assign the joystick and the pedals.
Could you please, help me ? I want to mention, the joystick, throttle and rudder pedals are working fine with every other flight sims, I just tested all of them
Where excactly do I have do assign them ?
    Menu / Controls / Axes / Aircraft, right ?
Whatever I'm trying, there is only my Virpil Throttle ( VPC-Throttle-ADAD241B+U Axis ) when I press AILERON / ELEVATOR / RUDDER
    And I can't delete / clear it
I removed all the conf. files ( backup first ) but still the same story.
Am I doing something wrong ?
    Thank you

The throttle input might be spiking, try to unplug it while setting up the stick and then reconnect it later.

The ring finger rotary of VPC throttle is know for "spiky" electric noise in axis, probable due the fact that rotary disk is fixed direct in pot' pole.

Supposedly the latest firmware for this throttle add a filter that deal with this issue, check VPC forum.

When a axis "spiky", is detected first in the window for assignment and prevents assign other axis.

Re: Can't assign the joystick / pedals

    Thanks a million, guys
Did a firmware update, and everything is working fine now
But ( off topic ) I have a very annoying issue, the worst, in the last 20 years of PC, and I can't find a solution
I'm not even sure if I should call it Color Banding / Posterization
Even the Cliffs of Dover main menu clouds, look ugly
It's not very bad on Cliffs of Dover in-game, but it is visible
On other flight sim ( X-Plane 11) it's impossible to play
I'm very confused, disappointed and angry
I even purchased a brand new Samsung Q9FN 55 inches, replaced the KS7500, tried with 3 different graphic cards, replaced 6 HDMI cables, Windows 10 fresh install, a lot of different nVidia driver versions for my GPU, BIOS updated, no OC, no add-ons, no Reshade, etc....
    No luck
I can't understand who's causing this annoying problem
I replaced the Samsung KS7500, because I thought, the panel is dying or something
Asked on different forums, but people have different opinions : some people blame the nVidia software drivers, others say, there is the 8 bit panel limitation
I used the Samsung Ks7500, 2 years, without this issue
Is everyone here maybe, with an idea about that?
Could my motherboard / CPU / RAM / PSU - Corsair RM 750, be damaged, but still working, and it affects somehow, the GPU ?

I even tried with all the PCIex slots, replaced the PSU to GPU cables...
    Can't understand this
    I'm still looking for a fix, I hope, I'll find a solution

    Thank you very much

Re: Can't assign the joystick / pedals

I tried with Contrast, Brightness, Backlight, Gamma, PC HDMI 1, Game Console HDMI 1 and everything possible, including nvidia control panel 4:4 :4 / 4:2 :2 and all other features
    I couldn't fix my issue
Many Q9FN owners complain about color banding
I opened, for example, DCS World, Mission Editor. A dark background.
I can see something ( sorry, but I don't speak well English) like waves, and when I move slowly the mouse, those " waves" are moving, too
Even when I don't touch the mouse, keyboard, etc ( same location or different locations with darker backgrounds) i see them moving slowly, it's hard to describe
I just sent an email to Samsung, I hope they can help me with this
The TV was purchased about 12 days ago.

Hello BB (hmmm... that sounds a bit weird for this setting.....)

I read above that you have tried different settings on your new tv, but here is a site that has recommendations, so you might want to give them a shot:

    https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sa...-2018/settings

    Hope this helps.

If not there are other sites that have suggested settings you might try. Might not be the problem at all for you, but I'm not sure what else to suggest.

    Good luck!

Re: Can't assign the joystick / pedals

Thanks, but I already tried those Rtings settings
I attached 2 printscreens with CoD Blitz clouds. All the settings are highest possible, 3840 x 2160, 60 Hz
On the first image, some clouds look pixelated. I've never seen this before in CoD / Blitz
On the second image, the clouds look weird, it's like a " star " right in the middle of the cloud
I see this on other flight sim clouds
It's very hard to tell if it's nVidia - hardware / software or the TV
    Almost impossible to find out

Re: Can't assign the joystick / pedals

    if u haven't already....
In the nVidia Control Panel go to "Adjust desktop color settings", left clik on the monitor/TV in "1. Select the display you would like to change." and then in "2. Choose how color is set." and left clik on "Use nVidia settings" then clik on "Apply" bottom right corner.
Note that whenever there is a Windows update this setting tends to revert to "Other applications control color settings".
