    Top stuff old chap!
    Shame we can't code in some single shot cannons such as on the C6 110 for some 007 quality marksmanship
    But for now a good old Lewis will do just fine

    Aye!

    Also suggest that we arrange for a pre-spawn (let’s call it a rehearsal) of all participants one day (or a few hours) earlier, just to allow for the skins to load up beforehand. Last time it took about one hour for all skins to load, so these were not visible in the first duels... we could either do free for alls (good training) or simply be logged in so that the skins be given sufficient time to load. Especially if the event will be video recorded. Just a thought...

    That was the idea behind the showing up 20 minutes early. As long as the skins are below 1Mb in size they will load just fine in that time. With this last match, the reason for jumping the gun, was due to the location of one of the participants, and their RL schedule.

    I will be creating a rules/procedures list so things are a bit clear, such as;

    • First rule: It's single round elimination, The moment you are killed you are no longer eligible to win. [group discussions for those issues such as AI planes being involved]

    • Second rule: A collision where both pilots die... both are eliminated.

    • Third rule: Spectate off the runway. There is a designated area but you are only obligated to be off the tarmac.

    • Fourth rule: Only two guys to a fight. When it is your turn to compete;
      1. you align on the marked section of the runway,
      2. both pilots make sure they are ready, and notify the host.
      3. THe host will call full throttle, or throttle up, then count down from 3.
      4. after the count down take off as quickly as possible.
      5. Once wheels up, turn HORIZONTALLY 270 degrees AWAY from your opponent.
      6. Once you complete the turn you are free to engage[even if your opponent has not completed their turn]

    • Fifth rule: One fight at a time, fellas.

    • Seventh rule: Fights will go on as long as they have to.

      And the
    • Eighth and final rule: If this is your first night at Moth Club, you have to fight.

    Rule Six is no shirts and shoes.... I'd need photos as proof, and that would get awkward and creepy really quick.

    Anyone interested in a warm-up/rehearsal before June 1st?
    We could meet on the TFS Official Practice Server at the Red Bomber Base (extreme south-east of the Volcanic Island map).
    I'm ready any day this week as of 16:00 GMT.
    Wukits, how do you suggest we go about this one?

    Sorry I can't make it to this one.

    I ended up volunteering to help build Mt. bike trails, forgetting we had the moth event tomorrow.

    Re: Tiger moth shoot-up #7 : Summer solstice

    Top flight today chaps!

    I think there were some fantastic dogfights for everyone. Good show Noofy, had me running for my money (literally after it fell out of my moth )

    And one fantastic show afterwards too. Never flown fighter escort properly before, but loved it, if you guys ever need one give me a call! But will be flying with you chaps in the bombers next weekend anyway! Stay tuned for the first Bomber Command training event!
    Also, Wukits, with your amazing dead reckoning skills, perhaps you could give us a bit of training on that

    Re: Tiger moth shoot-up #7 : Summer solstice

    Indeed, thousand thanks to the organizers (Wukits, Kiwiflieger, Yotheguy) for this fabulous event
    Great fun, and nice chats with all who could make it last night, including the late comers.
    Got lucky for the trophy as most wins were due to stalls by the adversary (some call it "manoeuvre kill"...).
    The most epic fight of the evening, between Robo and Sceptre, sadly ended in a head on crash, which according to the rules had both players eliminated. In my opinion both deserved the trophy too.
    Can’t wait till next session in July, and I reiterate my wish to see more people participate in coming events. You won’t regret it! And believe me, flying this magnificent plane to the edge of its envelope is a very rewarding flight experience.
