Great organisation and a marvelous airshow. I hope you enjoyed the whole thing as much as we did. The huge air battle above boulogne was breath taking, planes and tracers everywhere. I think some video footage will follow in the next time by one of our squadmates. See you in the sky!

Look for another ATAG ASSAULT coming soon.

As a relatively new comer to the CLOD world, that was a first timer for me, and wow, what a blast!

Thank you DRock for setting this up, and thus giving us newbies a taste of what the glorious days must have been like. We’ll make that come back!

And thanks to all who participated and joined. Could not follow everything and everyone on comms, but wow, it felt like the real thing in those crowded skies.

Can’t wait for the next one...

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.1

Sadly we sustained a massive death toll both before and during the main event to aircraft and pilot failures during taxi, takeoff and landing. There was also a large number lost during entirely logical manouvers before the beggining of the main event. May we all fly on in better intelligence.....but perhaps not because goofing around can be jolly good fun too.

Either way, fun time as always simply being up in the air with fellow fliers attempting to use tactics, and realising the full potential of TS with last minute "Check six" calls, which given more than a second extra would have ended in a dead pilot. This is the first time I have actually experienced this personally :3

For somebody like me, who sadly missed this great initiative through Real Life Commitments, (Damn n Blast!) it was great to have the chance to see your pictures, TCP, and get a bit of a flavour of what went on....went up, and inevitably....went down again! Ha ha!

Thanks for sharing! And 'hats off' to Drock. I hope to make the next one! Salute!

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.1

I'd taken some time away from Blitz for varied reasons so this was a fab way to step back into the cockpit. So great to see the numbers out, and perfectly timed with the latest looks at 5.0 progress.

It'd be great to see 'regular' featured events like this, that would only help encourage others in the bigger picture. I see DD server with activity, mostly solo flyers. But for 'proper' co-ordinated multi-player interaction events like this is a highlight for any flyer. Whatever focuses attention on Blitz, especially during slow months and waiting on 5.0 can only be a good thing.

    Thanks for the fab time
    Daz

Thanks so much Wukits for sharing these videos.
It is great to relive these events, and especially see the action from various perspectives.
    Gave me the goosebumps...
Really really really can’t wait for next edition.
Oh, and one more thing: someone needs to remind the 69’ers about the "24 hours from bottle to throttle" thing...

Here is that second Blennie raid from my perspective, with external views.

The quality isn't as good as I had hoped, especially at the start, I have no idea why that should be, but you can see how awesome all those blennies looked, and the battle that went on as we approached the target

Ah ha. That was you that took me out just seconds before hitting Marquise. I mistook those cannon rounds for flak. Good job.

No cannons on my E-1 I'm afraid

Out of curiosity: Which part of the video are you talking about? If that's right at the start I think you were heading for Campagne Le Guines, MQ-W is further to the north!

I was in the Tiger Moth beside Wukits. Something took me out just seconds before hitting field.
