Does anyone know if there is any audio of an F4 engine? Because it had quite a bit more power than an E 601 I just wondered if it sounded any different. Didn't they max out around 1300 hp?

The engine sound for the DB-601E engined 109F-4 in TF 5.0 is different from the DB-601A/Aa/N.
And of course, the engine has more power, generated from more radical intake timing/injection systems and higher rpm.
Everything in TF 5.0 is modeled on the historical engine data.... same as TF 4.5.
You will see when you fly it.
For a good overview in the changes between the DB-601A/N and the DB601E, please see this webpage: (scroll down to the article "Improving the Mercedes")

Thank you Buzzshaw. I remember the page but couldn't remember the......ah um....

The CD checkflight gustav black 6 recorded sound external then internal, for a G model but was the engine the same sound as for the F ?
great CD anyway, they stopped all airfield activity, and set up mics inc in cockpit.
I see it for sale on the www.
BOBC
And I have that CD
Just remembering back about that I found it in a magazine in the 90s and ordered it. I was really surprised at how quiet the cockpit sound was, but when the plane was diving you could hear the whoosh of the air stream taking over the volume of any other sound
