    I immediately thought of BOX, where a damaged plane pretty much always loses a wing. There is too much fire and sparks, also. Yeager said spectacular fire and explosions were the exception, not the rule.

    For a simulator the smoke, fire and hit effects have always been terrible. These look REALLY awful. CloD is vastly advanced in the DM and effects in comparison to this awful and tragic expeience.

    Just scale em down is what i would do, i really like the effects but what tf is that size? a waterleak shouldnt be 1-2 meter right from the plane directly, the explosions are too big, the sparks really remind me of WarThunder (pun intended)

    I'm more impressed you had a gunsight for the whole film *snicker.

    I think the effects are overdone too as a 303 round has the same hit sprite as a 50cal and 20mm etc.

    Hopefully the new DM, which is due shortly, may tweak things a little.

    If only we had the best bits from all of these games molded into one. Cliffs sky / water / clouds and icons / dcs cockpits / GUI / planes + FM / and il2 box terrain.
