    Radio Buttons in RAF a/c

    Hello gents,

just wanted to ask, are the buttons for frequencies in RAF aircraft clickable/bindable? If not, can we have them bindable in the game options?

I've had the idea of a Teamspeak plugin radio system like Task Force Radio whirling around in my head for ages now, and having the buttons bindable in the game options would really be great if something like that comes along some day.

    Thanks in advance,
    W

No, neither have reason to be, "radio operation" is not modeled (e.e.g like in DCS - that is less than optimal).

Anyway, Spit/Hurri TR9D radio used in period (middle of 1940) are mono-channel, pilot control only volume knob and PTT lever.

Well, they do have reason to be, as there is already some kind of frequency change in the bindings of the game.

With TF5 going further than 1940, and planes being equipped with more sophisticated radios, it would make sense to model this and to facilitate potential user creations, as mentioned above.

"Radio Transceiver Frequency" controls seems planed for Fiat BR.20 radio cockpit, you can change frequency there - for no practical use.

There you if you mouse over some dial see a pop-up "Push to Talk (300KHz)", but just another unfinished feature.

In "show 3D renderings" days (<2011) MG show radios in Blenheim gunner position, but actually you can't look at then, since gunner, bombardier/navigator cockpit's have no 6 DOF.
EDIT - Bombardier/navigator cockpit don't have 6DPF, but (Blenheim) gunner cockpit have, ca lean left/right.

I like much this things, but being realist, worth dev's spent time/resources with this?

Today average CFS/G players just want "49 variations of Bf 109", "Fw 190 over Stalingrad", "F4U Corsair in Normandy", or P-26 X MiG-1'5 dogfights...
