Soviet Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, former head of Soviet Space program, first man to walk in Space and later a friend of Neil Armstrong, dead at 85.

He also commanded the Soviet side of the first US/Russian joint space mission... which led to further cooperation and eventually the creation of the International Space Station.

Always good to remember those who were designated 'enemies' during the Cold War were also men with ideas, imagination and bravery.
