I sure like this print! Bud Anderson is one of my favorite pilots to listen to. He seems like such a friendly person. I have a feeling that this action depicted must have been the the 109 that gave him the big scare. He ran into someone who knew how to fly so to speak.
However, by using my long time "crash-into-other-planes" experience, acquired via many years of misjudging closure rate, and not paying attention, I have the feeling that the 109 is on a collision course with the B-17 behind the P-51.
Turning your belly to an incoming formation of planes and pulling back on that stick creates a russian roulette situation.
