for me the ability to have torps will be the best part of 5.0

Trust me , I fly a Bf 110 (C2-->C7)
It must have taken some real backbone to launch torpedos while flying straight in against any ship with a little firepower. Sitting in that fishbowl of a cockpit one could see just about everything coming directly at you..BTW what sort of flight path & aiming was involved?
Launch was reccomended at around 1000 yds from the tgt and the torp needs to run about 500 yds to arm. Speed from memory was about 180-200 km/hr and launch alt less than 100 m according to the one source i have seen. Still not 100% sure about aiming from the -111. Beam attacks were recommended apparently.
Speed at launch could be higher than 180-200 kmh. (that is almost stall speed with flaps up for He-111H) Don't believe it needed 500 yards/meters to arm. Some torpedoes could be dropped from as high as 300 meters.
The He-111H had a Torpedo aiming computer in the cockpit which worked with a sight... we may or may not have that ready for release... if not it will be ready after in a patch.
