Night ops difficult with current lighting

TWC Campaign has had some interesting night flying recently, but the "Moonlight" cockpit illumination effect is simply too bright. I've tried reducing the brightness in the NVIDIA Control Panel, but it makes the outside world lighting (Ground objects) too dim. All interior lighting is selected OFF.

I wonder if there is a technique I'm missing to reduce the moonlit cockpit intensity without impacting the lights outside my Spitfire?
