COD Disk of no use anymore?

Hello, I've been away from IL-2 COD too long. I still have COD on the original CD. Do I necessarily need to go and buy it on Steam if I want COD Blitz and the latest patches that you use on your servers?

    Thanks.

If you own the original game and you can install it using the CD, then you will automatically be required to be registered on Steam.

Once you have installed the original, you should see in the 'Games Available' selection screen on Steam, the option to install CoD BLITZ.

Best thing to do is uninstall the original, (there is nothing there which BLITZ doesn't have) and then install BLITZ.

BLITZ will automatically update to the latest patches when you install it.

I couldn't install the game from CD, so I downloaded Steam, entered it and saw CoD among my registered games. I installed CoD first, then saw CoD Blitz, uninstalled CoD and now I'm installing Blitz.

    Thanks.

Is not advisable use the old disk - nothing worth there.
Instead use only the key code and ADD A GAME in STEAM.

I couldn't install the old disk in Windows10 anyway.

    Thanks!
