    Slightly OT , but for me it will be interesting to see how the Spitfire Vb here compares to the one modeled at Great Battles. Not so much in outward appearance or even FM , really, but for me anyhow the firepower of the new cannons & the length of time before they run out of ammunition which in GB is quite quickly..

    From what I understand (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)...
    The Hispanos had a rate of fire from 600 to 850 rounds per minute.
    This translated to seconds = 10 to 14 per second
    If the Spitfire carried 120 rounds per canon, this means 120/10=12 and 120/14=8.4. In other words, from 12 to 8.4 seconds of continuous fire until you run out.

    So, you should have about 10 one-second or 5 two-second bursts until you run out.

    All this is assuming the Hispanos don't fail

    60 rounds per gun in the mkVb. 120 rounds in the 'universal wing' which used the belt-fed hispano mkII. the mkVc and subsequent later marks all used this wing in either the 'c' or 'e' variation.

    We have the earlier gun model... the Hispano Mk I with only 60 rounds in a drum. So you will need to be careful with your ammunition.

    As mentioned, the later version Mk VC model had the re-designed Universal wing which allowed for belt feed to the Hispano Mk II with 120 round total.

    But that is not in TF 5.0... will be in TF 6.0 along with Spit Mk IXA with same universal wing. (assuming TF 5.0 is a success and we go to TF 6.0)

    VC was heavier though... so turned a little worse than the VB. (unless you count the VC with the Merlin 45M with the cropped supercharger.... it generated a lot more horsepower at low levels and was the best turning Spitfire of any at low alt... but cr*p at high alt)

    Do all the BF109s have 60 rounds per gun too?
