    Re: Lockdown

    Six weeks in.

Running a business from my gaming rig.

10 staff. I sent them home 3 days before the official lock down (a total guess on my part).

Everyone is working from their dining rooms / kitchens.

I have no idea how long we can keep this thing going.

It is litterally day to day. As i am sure it is for everyone else.

Not sure how to classify this. Its not 'tough times'asmuch as "100% flying blind times".

    Not easy that.

    Check 3.

    I mean.. erm......

Don't know how else to describe it really.

    Re: Lockdown

    Netherlands is in "Soft" lockdown

Which in my view of how the politicians are handeling seems like an experiment in "how can we get the citizens under 'controlled' control"
Already calling this "The new normal" which is scarily the opposite of "The temporary abnormal"
Instead of testing people and acquiring facemasks, they are staring themselves blind on a "Corona App" on our phones
that follows where citizens are to 'help' battle the infections

Luckily, it being a soft lockdown has it's advantages:

They are starting to open up slowly in Germany.
Most people think it's too early, but there is a lot of pressure from 'economy' and a part of the population, that uses to voice its opinion quite loud to feign large numbers.

    Re: Lockdown

They banned booze, ciggies and vapes here in SA. Been a long 6 weeks and now they have like levels of Covd and only certain things can be done or sold at specific levels.
None if it makes even an iota of sense.

Our government and ministers are nincompoops.

Even excercise or walking your dog was banned (level 5) Now its level 4, but their brainfart regulations only specify running and cycling as allowed under level 4.
Also that has to be done within a 5km radius of your home.
I dont run, or cycle, but what runner or cyclist operates in a 5km rad?

I live 600m from the beach, I cant surf or swim, cause thats not in the regs.
I have sports fields up the road, but kicking a ball is not running or cycling.

I know what you mean, Laser, but well, I see my friends three or four times a week in the skies of CloD.
    Aren't we lucky?

    Re: Lockdown

Well, when lockdown starts to get too much, what do you do?

You get your 5 year old son to jump in a Spit 1a 100 and fly you over to the Isle of Wight for lunch. A short trip from Wilmington, along the coast, past the Needles and around the island to Bembridge. Park up, engine off, leave the table and sit outside where your Sunday roast has been lovingly prepared and is waiting with a pint. It's not all bad!

I had to manage the throttle and he couldn't reach the pedals, but hey, first steps and all that...

We may nip over the channel for lunch next Sunday...

Tomorrow we're celebrating 75 years liberation in the Netherlands
The fact that that's happening while there's a ban on assembly, is something no stand up comedian can make up
The level of irony is so high, I wouldn't be surprised if it rusts

Its a sheep, I'm very familiar with sheep. Not in a biblical sense I hasten to add.
