TFS virtual VE Day 75 Anniversary Fly Past

    Hi all,

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, and mindful that social restrictions have meant fly pasts all around the world have been affected, Team Fusion Simulations have a created a major virtual fly past event that everyone can watch and enjoy from home.

Featuring 106 RAF aircraft from IL-2 Cliffs of Dover Blitz and our upcoming Desert War expansion.

View the event from vantage points in the air, on the ground, and the cockpit of all flyable aircraft types.

We hope you enjoy our celebration of a major event in world history.

Would really appreciate that everyone who watched the fly past, hits the like button, comments and and subscribes to our YouTube channel.

    Regards,

    TFS team

Re: TFS virtual VE Day 75 Anniversary Fly Past

    Very cool

That last Spitty has "D(O)RF" inscribed on the side.

I bet that gets the Germans chuckling !! Certainly made me laugh !!

Kinda tempted to change my SO(O)S... but I'm too fond of it !

Great video... and made up for the fact that the Spitfire flyby from Goodwood (that's West Hampnett to you lot) to East Grinstead and back Via Eastbourne... which should have gone over my house at about 1pm... was..... off target... I heard it... sounded about 5 miles away.... and sadly didn't see a thing.

    Awesome stuff ! Cheers fellas!

terrific impressive tribute, especially with the London backdrop and tower bridge.
did you get all 106 planes flying at once (that would have bought my machine to its knees) and how many was actual real jockies?

Re: TFS virtual VE Day 75 Anniversary Fly Past

.....I'm late to the party, as usual, due to a severe over imbibing on the evening of May 8th!!!! But this was a brilliant piece of work and obviously a 'labour of love' on Pat's part. As many have said, this has done us all a huge favour since it is a great advert for our sim!

Well done, Pat! Now for God's sake take 'a three day pass' and get some leave! Salute!

Re: TFS virtual VE Day 75 Anniversary Fly Past

I first saw this on my Ipad and thought it was brilliant so I reviewed it again on the TV .

A great piece of work Pat . Initially My Wife and Son both thought that it was part of the official VE Day programmes by the BBC .

Well done Mr Pattle . More please !!!!!!

Hi Noofy......my father in law (a very unique and special man who, alas, is unfortunately no longer with us) was a lecturer at Leeds University in England. His language and conversation was always sprinkled with the most amazing vocabulary some of which I had never heard before. My wife told me that when he was a young man he had read the English Oxford Dictionary from cover to cover...in order to improve his knowledge of the English language.' Some undertaking.......I reckon it worked a treat!

'Imbibing' (to take in, ie food and drink) was one of the words he used...and at the end of a meal, when offered more food, he would always say he was 'replete' or full. Sometimes he would refer to 'cloacal humour' and I reckon that's one you will know. The cloaca maxima was the main drain or sewer that ran through Rome in ancient times. So 'cloacal humour' was probably....... dirty jokes! Salute.

Re: TFS virtual VE Day 75 Anniversary Fly Past

I'm no stranger to the word imbibe.

It's even been on the big screen.

In the film Dogma. Alan Rickman explains why he and the other angels keep spitting their tequila out.

That said I'm no thesaurus. Bit of a word thickie even

I often have to ask my wife what certain words mean. (And she is German).... and a megawordboffin

And yeah... it's a real word... and I should know as I know 'cos i just invented it.
