    The new P-40E

Gents just out of curiosity, how much manifold pressure will we be able to pull in the new 40E, short bursts of 70"? I am sure you will not limit it to an unrealistic low number due to special imported Russian avgas.

Looking forward to the release, stay safe.

No, not 70 inches... that level of boost was never used on the Kittyhawk Mk IA... the most reported used was around 66 inches... in late '42, but that was not approved... it was done occasionally by certain pilots and crew chiefs... the Allison approved boost at that time was 60 inchs MAP.

At the stage of the war when the Kittyhawk is introduced, (and the period of this TF 5.0 module) i.e. early to mid 1942, the RAF was using 56 inches.
