Will there be an official FMB Guide after the release of Desert Wings?

I'm I/JG54_chuishan on the Sturmovik Forum.
Just dive in the Clod FMB, since I'm a veteran in 1946 FMB I know the basic staff, but where can I get info on those advanced functions like airfield damage percentage and allthe script staff? Is there any, or is there will be, some systematic guide or manual on it?

We will be putting together some guidelines... not sure it will be all encompassing, but will have a series of pointers.

I'm really glad to hear that! Much better than making me digging ancient posts in the forum.

Guide or manual can contemplate instructions about the third section "Script". It would be very appreciated. Thank you. Greeting.

From my own recent experience this is an infuriating process. There are bits of guidance here and there, but it's impossible to know if the script I'm trying to understand still works, some scripts have some notes, others none, and some in Russian (alas I can't understand that), I tried to ask a question on the 1c forum and my thread hasn't even appeared yet, 2 days later.

I'm learning C# from scratch elsewhere to try and figure things out the long way round, but it is maddening trying to find simple examples of things to put in missions. Surely there must be people here who know what they are doing with it?...Perhaps all their time has been taken up with DW, but if you want new members of the community to contribute to making missions, there is a massive need to share the knowledge that is both up to date and clear enough for people to pick up.

If I make any progress I will try and share that when i have enough that is worthwhile, but currently trying to get the basics just has me coming up against a wall.

I recommend you consult some of the code based SP missions on the ATAG download site.

Postkutsche, Bombsight Practice and Mileage all have working code.

learning c# and trying to understand an API at the same time is a very difficult task - but you can be proud of yourself afterwards!

With c# we cannot really teach you, books, online tutorials, and seminars can do that much better.

For the API of Cliffs Of Dover, examine the various examples in the Download section (https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...p?categoryid=5)

    - Single Player Missions
    - Multi Player Missions
    - Mission Tips, bits and pieces

Reading, examining what others did, and then experimenting with changes quickly gives an understanding to how things work.

    Good luck!

And don't feel afraid to ask questions to specific problems you encounter here. The more specific the question is, the better it can be answered.

Thanks, yes I will keep trying on this, I am getting there in tiny steps and will try and track the things that stumped me as I go, then share my solutions/experiences in some form of document.

If only those online tutorials used CLoD as the examples eh!

    Ok that's the way.
But add some more Action, not just "SpawnGroup".
    Action "Messages".
    Time to end game
    Percent of target destroyed
And win Red side or Blue side
Number of planes lost per side
It would be appreciated. Thank you. Greeting.
