    R.I.P 9./JG52 Ziegler (Steve Zarvis)

    Salute all
Today is the 5th year of the passing of Ziegler , he is sorely missed by us in this Staffel both as a great pilot and friend.
He loved this sim big time and i know he would have been chomping at the bit to be flying over the desert of Libya in the upcoming add on.
I sit in my truck cab in the lovely summer downpour we have in Britain
thinking of the good and fun times i personally had in the 3 years i flew with Zieg. I wonder what he would think of the strange times we are going through now ?
I do know it wouldnt phase him as nothing did
Anyway RIP mate , keep chasing those red angels off their clouds shouting
    HORRIDO !

It amazes me just how quickly your anniversary post comes around Meyer!

I hope Paul would have been happy with Tobruk.

    Cheers,

....and I'm sure the whole Community wishes the very best for his family, especially in these difficult times!

I don't think I knew Paul (though he might just have shot me down a few times) but I'm sure we'd all be better off if he was still around. He sounds like a good 'un! Salute!

    ~S~ Zieg

Many hours flying with you during the days when I was off work as this was your preferred time zone, yet always met the effort to squad with the rest of us..

I'm sure you'll be happy I rejoined the squad after my break away from gaming as a whole... Was there really any other option ?

Keep blasting away my friend clearing my 6!

    Re: R.I.P 9./JG52 Ziegler ( Paul Zarvis)

I never knew Zieg. The tragedy occurred before i became a member with the squad. I have learned so much being with this squad and continue to do so. Somehow when I think I’ve seen all I’m going the see these guys ratchet up several more levels. Just amazing. There is no doubt that if Zieg were still in the here and now the experience here would be raised even more levels. There have been moments of shear defensive terror and somehow pulling out ahead laughing insanely after The fact. And many many moments of pure precision dominance Which The feeling can not be described. For me None of this could not be done on my own and only happens with this squad. I regret none having gotten to meet the man but he leaves a very good legacy behind.
Horrido! Past, present, future, and the beyond.

It's so hard to believe that five years have passed by since Zieg left us. He was always so pleasant to deal with on forum/server matters. I wish him blue skies and may he be resting in peace.

Likewise, I never knew Ziegler - he passed away before I even started flying this sim, but it's apparent what a part of the community he must have been and therefore what the community lost. It only seems like 5 minutes since the last anniversary post.

Like a few others in JG52, I never flew with Ziegler, but the way he's spoken about by other members tells me he was a great guy to fly with and to be around.
    Salute Ziegler.
