Skins not showing up in skin folder but they are available in the game

The skins are there when I play the sim but outside of the game they don't show up in the skin folder! Probably a simple reason for this but I don't know it!!!!!

Can anyone help please

Check all possible Cliffs folders, there may be one in Documents and one in your steam folder in drives. Check the one in Documents (under 1C Entertainment still or is that old?) And go into steam, select properties on your Cliffs of Dover Blitz page and go to local files from there.
Check the skin folders in both, the steam version should have them all

Yes, there are 2 skin folders.

Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes

and this (if you are using Blitz, it might possibly have another name with Desert Wings, I haven't checked)

Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\PaintSchemes\Skins


You can add skins to either folder, but if you add them to the 'documents' folder you will know that it contains your own changes (and 3rd party skins), and also you won't risk changing our 'Steam/steamapps' skins contained within the game - this may be useful - as we may make corrections or alterations to those 'Steam' skins... something which will happen soon to some skins.
