By the way did anyone successfully test these NAVAIDS (Derna 304, Gazala 306, Tobruk 308, Bardia 310)?

I can't seem to get a reading at any of the above frequencies...

    Re: Op. Sandstorm, SITREP

Added a beacon at Almiah Alkhafia @ 312.

Not sure why they aren't working. Looking into that.

Also added the ability to call in AI raids. Both sides have two missions to call in, once a mission is called in, 30 minutes must elapse before another mission can be called. AI raids do not engage target objectives, just meant to create more activity around the map and give times with low numbers more things happening.

Changed Gambut to "Italy" for blues, Halfaya changed to "US" for red.

NAVAIDs are working fine, not sure what the issue is on peoples end. Make sure your aircraft has the ability, right now only a few blue aircraft can (we are working on getting this to work for particular red aircraft) and you are using the primary freq increase/decrease. -

Well, not working for me (and some others).
I have tried all German bombers available on this map (Ju88 and He111).
I have setup a SP mission and it works fine there. Just not on Sandstorm.
And yes of course I am using primary freq (also tested secondary just in case).
Have you tried it connected to the server in MP mode?

Did anyone else test it OK?

Don’t know that. Did not visually check all locations, but the radio mast is showing in Tobruk, but does not seem to be transmitting...

I can check the other locations next time the mission is up. Would that help?

    Ah, blue pilots ...

You've got a map, you've got a compass (even two in british planes pointing to different directions), you've got the sun, you've got streets to follow, and you've got enemy flak shooting at you ... what more do you need?

All them complicated technical thingies just give you a headache!

    OK it works now, thanks

If the British planes will also be equipped with same radio receivers, then it is fair to also add such beacons at a couple of the British airfields further to the east (Sidi Barrani, Bir el Malla South, Bir Basur, ...)?

True, you don't really need that, but it is an excellent training for long navigation runs. Not necessarily going straight to target, but flying over one or more virtual turning points in the middle of nowhere, determined by the crossing of two radio beams.

Plus the navigation can sometimes be very long on this huge map, so that gives you something to play with while making it to target...

    Re: Op. Sandstorm, SITREP

Will update this one more time before moving on to make another mission. Maybe finish getting these changes in by tomorrow, so maybe this will be in the rotation in the next couple of days.

Added radar for both sides, which works. Both are able to be destroyed and count as a point, so adding options to win the map (overall points to win don't change).

Added more AAA defenses for all forward airfields, so between 20-30 AAA pieces.

Added another Italian spawn point at Gasr el Arid with all planes, and another US spawn point at Buq Buq.

Also created a "fighter command" in the tab menu, like the bomber command. Now people can call in fighter AI missions. Both sides have the same idea, one is a general patrol of their sides with 2 flights of X amount of aircraft, and the other is an airfield defense patrol, so much closer and quicker to the front airfields in case they are being vulched. Again, 2 flights of X amount of planes.

Bombing blue airfield AD 6.9 no longer takes any damage. First run I destroyed the fuel convoy and then bombed the af at low level. 2nd run level bombed it, saw bombs hit, but no message. Worked fine before in previous versions.

Thanks for the work on the missions.

    Re: Op. Sandstorm, SITREP

think there maybe an issue with the completion (at least for red team). Was flying alone late last night, took off, part way to target a message came up, "supply/support? convoy destroyed" then all objectives complete and the mission ended. As the last server message had said neither side scored any points previously, think something is triggering early completion. Thought the same thing happened on same mission earlier in evening, I came on, 30odd others there, also indicating no targets killed/points scored, couple of messages came up then all objectives complete and it ended. I had barely got 4 minutes from t/o. Bit harder to be sure though as there were others playing at that time.
Believe I have also had the AD6.9 airfield not taking damage effect (not sure because its a target on both TF tobruk scenarios).

If it was the naval convoy, this could be normal as it can take a lot of time for a ship to sink, which may happen way after the player who hit it has left the game.

This is less normal. May be a bug in the score counter?

Do you mean on my machine or to Noofy reply. If mine - i have no idea where any logs would be.
However in response to noofy, dont think that anyone else had been on. It was (well) after midnight UK, and the other mission (with just the blue airfields to attack) running which i think crashed out (I thought initially it was our internet, but my sons apparently were ok still so more like your end). About 20mins later I came back in, mission had changed, cannot imagine anyone having time to sink enough ships. Like I say, it also said the score was nil-nil. Its as if one of your single convoy (road) destruction can trigger it and its getting blown up by AI or running itself into destruction (some debug trigger still in it perhaps?)

The server crashed at least once yesterday evening.
I'm not at all sure whether this was related to the mission.

The one time I remember was during 'Convoy Red', then the server started again with 'Operation Sandstorm'.

Artist was flying at the time as well, maybe he has an idea.

    Re: Op. Sandstorm, SITREP

If v10 is running, the airfield should be fixed now. Regarding the other triggers, I just quickly tested the main ones and nothing out of the ordinary happened.

I don't have time to run a 3 hour missions and watch all the "time" triggers go off which are all the ground convoys besides four (two for each side). These are not mission related, so I can't imagine them tripping something.

If this happens again try to get specifics and the time.

Hi SM - scegga still requires 100% to be destroyed. Not a biggie but thought i would mention it.

Moved the time back by 10 minutes. There is still about 15 minutes of decent daylight when the mission turns. Players need to be willing to try new things and while the visibility isn't perfect, it isn't bad either towards the end of the mission.

Added two more spawn points for each side. Blue: Sidi Rezegh, all aircraft available. Red: Gasr el Abid, all aircraft available.

Changed the ship skill levels to average and rookie for both sides.

Added two trucking convoys for both sides which are now counted as mission objectives. See updated briefing on rough location and direction of travel.

Changed how the mission can be won. Each side needs to accumulate 5 points to win the map, each target is worth a point with the exception of the Axis's shipping convoy, if the Allied side sinks those ships it is worth two points.

So not all targets need to be destroyed now, the two trucking convoys that have been added to both sides play a role now, so each side has 7 targets and only 5 need to be destroyed to win.

    Also added some NAVAIDs.

Yes I changed it back to 100% destroyed, but lessened the amount from 9000 to 4500, so it is essentially unchanged from the previous versions where it would turn at 50%, just displays differently now.
