Tobruk: Bailed out and pilot pulls at ripcord but parachute does not deploy

Tried in multiple Tobruk SP missions different aircraft:
Climbed to 2000', opened cockpit, slowed aircraft to 120mph, jumped, chute wont deploy, pilot died.

Tried in multiple Blitz SP missions different aircraft:
Climbed to 2000', opened cockpit, slowed aircraft to 120mph, jumped, chute deploys, pilot lived.

Parachute was checked in all these SP mission boxes

After further testing I had a pilots chute to deploy using a Dewoitine520 and a MartlettIII in a Tobruk SP mission.

These results are all from SP missions created by me from quick missions.

    Any ideas what went wrong?

    Results were from Version 5.002.

After even further testing: I deleted the first missions I made and renamed them. The pilot now lives in all of them. Yay! This problem is fixed. Thanks to 1lokos for the help.

Just for fun, select in BoB, the Quick Mission London Attack, and jump.

1lokos, pilot lived in London Attack, but continually dies in Bomber intercept-London. I also noted I cant bail out from a G.50.

Pilots survived all Tobruk Quick Missions.

    Hi whurst1,

when you were trying to bail out from a G.50, did you just open a canopy? If yes, try to jettison it.

Some planes require you to jettison a canopy to allow you to bail out. Other planes are happy when you simply open it.

I suppose the G.50 belongs to the first group. Although it doesn't have a true canopy.

The only plane from which you cannot bail out is the Tiger Moth (or at least I never managed).
All other planes require you to jettison canopy/hatch/doors before ejecting.
British planes will allow you to bail out either by jettisoning or opening the canopy.
The exception is the Wellington that requires you to jettison.

    Hi whurst1,

you're welcome. But your thanks should go to ATAG_Noofy. He's our G.50 chief pilot. I have learned this trick from him.
