    Wellington Attack Movie!

This is one not to be missed. 6 Wellingtons smashing a German airfield with some fighter action on the side. Worked hard on this one, I hope you guys enjoy it!

Well done Flare. Nice showcase of what was a fun sortie. The poor hapless Ju88 on the same flight path (on route to our airfield no doubt) probably couldn't believe his lousy luck. And just as well we had good escorts or that 109 jockey would have been an Ace in day.
    Was a wizard prang chaps.

    Hell yeah
    Fantastic work. Thanks for sharing.
I was in the Welly attacked by the 109. Good protection job, escort
despite being hit I still managed to drop my load and safely made it back to base.

    Great video, Flare!

That raid was a ton of fun. Thanks for setting this up.

Super work by our air cover protecting us from the 110 and 109; they would have downed us all if not for you. Oh, and a special shout out to our Manual Creation Group - I had the Wellington flash card set up on on my desk, err, virtual cockpit, and just followed the instructions step by step!

    Cheers!

I was in the spit that shot you down, but I'm wondering what brought you down. I know it took a while, but I'd made one pass and mainly hit your tail. Was it just loss of control surfaces or did I damage you in other ways too? I'm honestly curious on this as I wasn't sure if it was enough for you to go in, but I didn't want to leave our bombers either so I didn't press the attack.

From my track file it seems you did a number on his engines too, they were streaming and sounding a bit rough, also there was no left elevator. Took about 5 minutes before TGIF crashed but it looked like he was wrestling that plane to keep enough power to stay in the air.

Awesome, and good to know. From my cockpit it really didn't look like I had done much so it's interesting to see the difference up close like that. Those Spit cannons are scary! Great movie Flare, and the music worked really well too. Very nicely done!

    .

well from my side of the encounter I was well out from alkafir where i seldom see any thing , which is not all bad when your trying to sneak into Scegga all of a sudden I see a flock of large planes at a great distance . I thought whats this how many are there and where are they going its not a big bomber base as far as I know ? most traffic is always coming out of bug bug or far north somewhere Hummm maybe its some sort of AI raid I haven't run into before , now i dont run my team speak to much its hard for me to hear stuff etc but i thought well I better count them and warn my blue gang 5 or six bombers seem to be coming out of maybe Scegga heading probably to alkafir . I ll just head toward them and stay out of range of their guns and ill find out whats up its only a few degrees off my heading really I dont think they have even seen me yet . this bit of magical thinking turned out to be 100% bogus . I got a little closer counted them up , wasn't to sure of their target and said well my gangs way far off and their not that many on, they probably wont come for them in time anyway . I never dreamed they had any escort . I turned back to my true heading a little nervous that now they might have seen me and maybe an AI might some how warn an AI fighter what do I know after all . about 30 seconds later I was under attack from the rear I never saw my attacker and he didn't fire a lot of shots 1 small burst but it shut me down completely. the attacker broke off I figured he knew he got me with a hand full of bullets and didn't want to waste any more we seemed to be a little ways off from the main body of planes . what ever you hit took me right out engine wise, both engines out .
so he must have wanted to get back to his main job . I didn't have trouble with control but with no power and a full bomb load i just glided right in no luck making a landing . the new 88's are very hard to set up your rear gunners so I would not have time to shoot back but you got me so fast and effectively nothing would have saved me anyway, I didn't know it was you till i was down and it appeared in the chat window and I could see it was a person
you wacked me just perfectly. its one of those things where random things happen and playing with live people shows you how things can change in a flash S!. the video was great to see what you were all up to . I am pretty sure if you look closely you will see me with my mouth open and a completely surprised look on my face .

you know i just happened to think of it but if i had taken off 2 minuteness earlier and got to your base and caught you on the ground you would have had a different movie . yeah I know a lot of if,s there but a bomber can dream
