Hi Folks,
Here is a cool little challenge for us non-IFR rated pilots.
In this mission (attached below) the primary NDB is set at 320 Khz. The Secondary (Lorenz) is at the default 300 khz. You will spawn in with a Ju 88 lined up with runway 33. Fly over the runway turn left to 210 deg for 5 minutes while climbing to 2000 m AGL then turn left again to 150 deg hdg holding 2000m for 5 minutes, then turn left again to 60 deg. hdg.
Challenge: ZOOM INTO YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL SO YOU CAN'T SEE OUTSIDE. No cheating
1) find your approach entry to runway 33 and turn into it using the NDB
2) reduce ATA and set your descent at about 5 m/sec- watch your altitude
3) pick up the Lorenz beam along the way and ride it in
4) light up the outer marker on the Lorenz at 400m AGL
5) light up inner marker at 50m AGL
1-5 get progressively harder to achieve
Thanks to Torric for providing this great practice mission setup. Maybe someday when we get weather and nights (or fogggles) it can be made prettier and added to the training flight roster.
