Join us Saturday 2100 GMT as we remember the 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain Day, 15th September, 1940.

One of the biggest and most important days of the Battle of Britain, for many the turning point of the battle, for others, the war.

The New Dawn Fades mission has been selected on the ATAG Allies and Axis server, to host the event.

Last week saw a full server of 83 players which was awesome to see! Thanks again to everyone who came.

We hope to replicate that this weekend.

    Hope to see you there.

TFS's Pattle (flying for the RAF this week) will be livestreaming from 2100-2300 on our YouTube Channel. Would be great to see other players livestream as well.

Let us know if you can, so we can promote your channel.

    Cheers,

    TFS Team

Excellent news, Pat! And what a brilliant way to mark 'the Big Day!'

I will certainly be down at Dispersal, hopefully with a few other Rag Tag's, drinking tea..........and eating Big Hilda's doughnuts (Good God! Did I really write that? Apparently, I did!)....... whilst waiting for the Bell to ring!

    Up...and at 'em! Salute!

The tea sounds good Marlow but I am afraid I shall have to pass on Big Hilda's doughnuts though!!!!!

    Hi all
I am hoping to dip my little toe into multiplayer this w/e on Allied side but expect to be cannon fodder (pun intended).

Spent an hour last week configuring teamspeak 3 as mic refused to work (all sorted now i think) and do not want to breach mic etiquette.

Learnt one valuable lesson. Do not try and take off whilst fiddling with headset, head tracking and teamspeak.

Do you guys advise on fuel loads and loadouts?
    Thanks

Hi Slot.......great that you can be with us on Saturday. There will be all sorts of bods there and plenty of advice on hand. Do not worry too much about mic etiquette. It's mostly common sense. Eg, try not to interrupt when two people are cooperating in a dogfight, try not to shout over each other, be polite.....and make sure your jokes are belters!!!!!

It'll be good to wing up........and die together!!!!!! See you in the Desert Skies! Salute!

    Hi Slot.
You will get all the info you need on the night. Just concentrate on getting into the air safely and try and team up with others when you get up. Lots of info does come quickly and all at once so have a notepad handy. Have you got Teamspeak notifier installed? This will show you on screen who you are talking too.
    Good luck.

Re: Next event Saturday 2100 GMT - remembering 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain

    Hi all,

I'm planning on flying low level long range 110 intruder missions in this event. So if low altitude navigation, high speed, single pass attacks on red airfields deep inland are of interest pls feel free to join me on the Isle of Wight just before kick-off so we can spawn in and take off quickly before the red fighters come over. Dress of the day will by pyjamas and leather flying boots..

My main aims will be accurate single pass, low level bombing on multiple airfields per sortie and trying as hard as i can to make it back to base and deny the RAF easy kills. So if you are looking for furball-type action then this may not be for you. But if you like the challenge of flying a heavy fighter, achieving mission-orientated goals and surviving in shark infested waters then pls feel free to come along with me.

If new to the 110 then it might be worth having a quick squiz of this thread and the links within before tomorrow - https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...ighlight=ezzie

For new RAF pilots - common advice is for new RAF players to spawn in at rear airfields so they can take their time and safely familiarise themselves with their aircraft. I 100% support this advice and I look fwd to 'meeting you' tomorrow. Check 6!!

    Ezzie

PS Maybe our beaufighter brethren might consider doing likewise?

Re: Next event Saturday 2100 GMT - remembering 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain

Thanks for a great night. Unfortunately certain members of JG.52 need to seriously brush up on their aircraft recognition. There I was flying at 6000 metres lining up for an attack on Portsmouth after a careful thirty minute flight from Cherbourg when bang! bang! bang! i was shot up by not just one but two trigger happy jockeys in yellow nosed 109s. The offending pilots know who they are as I did receive an apology just as myself and rear gunner were bailing out over the Solent. I also have the film to prove it. Cheques made out to Flakboss via ATAG please. Back to the classroom lads but make it soon.
A Ju.88 is not like a Blenheim really

It was fun flying the 110! My bomb aiming skills were not completely up to standard but I managed some damage in the end and made it back to base with a shaking engine.

Also some good furballs later on, had some fun in the 109Bs.

Re: Next event Saturday 2100 GMT - remembering 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain

    Great fun indeed
It was nice to be back in the G.50 again.
    Lots of good dogfights tonight
And quite some slaloming between several blood thirsty 109's trying to avoid collision, and take my aim at those hurries...
    Looking forward to next sessions.

Sorry to hear that, but don't worry, they are on their way to eastern front as we speak. No more french wine and ventures to Sandbag Sadie's brothel in Amiens for them.

Me thinks a visit from the Gestapo would be more appropriate for those two. It does'nt get any better when you view the video replay, pretty horrendous blue on blue. Just viewed it from the the 109 view and you can clearly identify that it's a Ju.88 with 4 huge sc 250 bombs under the wings. The sad thing is some guys thought it was amusing judging by the comments

Vickers Wellington Mk1c. OJ-F P2517 'F for Freddie' of No.149 Squadron, star of 'Target for Tonight' directed by Harry Watt released in July 1941.

Freddy prepares for an air test prior to departure from Ford on ops with No.149 Squadron for a daring daylight attack on Marshalling Yards in Caen France 31\1|21. ATAG Operation Milk Run. Target destroyed. Six Wellingtons, One Blenheim together with
their Spitfire escort returned safely. One Wellington crashed on landing at Ford.

Apologies again from myself and on behalf of the whole squad..

You did receive an apology straight away last night also iirc.

But please, the ONE cmment not comment's was a tongue in cheek comment, it wasn't meant to cause offence.

Anyone that knows this sqaud also knows we do not operate like that, never have and never will.

This was an unfortunate and rare case of mistaken identity, it happens and we are ALL guity of it.

    Again please accept my apologies
