    Hurricane IIc Trop Bomb Run

My first trip out in the Hurricane Mk IIc-Trop ( 12th Aug 2020 ) thought I'd have a bash at some ships just offshore at Tobruk Harbour, and Wow, do'es this little lady pack a punch, with her 4 Hispano Mk I 110HE Cannons whilst carrying 2 x GP 250Ib or 2 x GP 500Ib M.IV Bombs.....You'll have to forgive the boring bits as the video is unedited ~S~ Viper.

    Nice video Viper.

I usually choose the Blennie for anti-ship strikes but they can be vulnerable to the ship's flak for low level attacks.
I will have to try the Hurricane with a couple of 250 pounders next time. Semi dive bombing.
Will the Hispanos on there own do any damage to ships? And have you tried two 500 pounders? Seems a lot of all up weight for the Hurricane?

    Flakboss.

Vickers Wellington Mk1c. OJ-F P2517 'F for Freddie' of No.149 Squadron, star of 'Target for Tonight' directed by Harry Watt released in July 1941.

Freddy prepares for an air test prior to departure from Ford on ops with No.149 Squadron for a daring daylight attack on Marshalling Yards in Caen France 31\1|21. ATAG Operation Milk Run. Target destroyed. Six Wellingtons, One Blenheim together with
their Spitfire escort returned safely. One Wellington crashed on landing at Ford.

    Hi Flak Boss,

It was in fact two 500Ib bombs that I dropped on the ship, then went back in for a strafe with the Hispanos you can hear and see the secondary explosions as my guns hit home midships, Muchos Boom boom

    Hi Vipes.

Yes indeed. Just had a run with a couple of 500lb pounders and skip bombed a tanker. Nice big bang and a quick sinking. The way to go me thinks. Still had the cannons for comfort for the return flight.
Take off was fine with a bit of extra flaps. Might be tougher with a bigger fuel load.
