    Hi All,

    TFS Server 3

1930GMT Sunday October 4th, 2020 - PLEASE NOTE NEW TIME.

A re imagining of one of the toughest and intensive ATAG Cliffs of Dover server missions.

Featuring a number of new RAF early war aircraft available with the Tobruk DLC, and for the blue's, the E-4 will be available for the first time.

    Can you guess the mission?

Please note: To take part, you will need to own Desert Wings Tobruk.

    See you there!

Looking at the screens I would say that the map will be Dynamo but should be great having a game on the old server mission named " Fall Rott "! ( Also the one named " Operation Relinquish v2.0 " was really nice to be played )S!

Saturday night is not available for us this week.

Looking at Friday night instead, so keen to get feedback on this.

    Cheers,

Re: Battle of France Event - Sunday 4 Oct 2030 GMT

Fall Rot is one of my favourite old ATAG maps! One of my best CloD memories is flipping the map on red with 4 minutes to go. It was very tense and I played the entire four hours non-stop.

The early planeset is fun and challenging. E-1s and E-3s only! No Spitties either except from Le Havre or something far.

Make sure to make the spawn points include the France army option so we can get the correct markings on the 520s.

Re: Battle of France Event - Sunday 4 Oct 2030 GMT

    If possible Friyday please!

For Germans it will start at 10:30 pm, for Russian playes even later.
That's hard stuff for a Sunday, when you have to go to work on Monday.

This said, an early war scenario with the D.520 is a wonderful idea!
If things go really well, it would be so nice one day to have flyable Hawks and Do 17s and maybe Moranes to recreate the battle of France.

Thank you so much for organising these events Pete!

I will also be live-streaming this event from my perspective, on my YouTube Channel - I've been getting the kinks ironed out over the past 2 events so if you can't participate but have a moment to check out a stream you have a second option as well as Pattle's TFS stream.

Personally, I feel there is a greater chance more people will be free to enjoy the Friday but I'll try and be there whichever day is decided on! Salute!

Re: Battle of France Event - Sunday 4 Oct 2030 GMT

I read the fine print re this weekend's upcoming event - 'Desert Wings - Tobruk needed', so took the plunge and went for it. It runs surprisingly well on my old Acer laptop with a GeForce940MX with only 2GB of VRAM - hooked up to a decent monitor and with some settings turned down of course. I was expecting a stutter-fest, but it runs surprisingly smoothly and the visuals still look good. Having fun learning to fly the Dewoitine. Appreciate the additional material - campaigns, flashcards and the airfield maps. Really looking forward to upgrading to a proper gaming PC ASAP and being able run it with settings on high. See you in the skies above France on the weekend.

They used to come from Le Havre. At some point it seems they were bumped up to Poix Nord. They really need to be put back to Le Havre because the front is swamped w spitties 100oct no less. And or make them 87 oct.Not much fun E1/3 tbh

But weren‘t the RAF Squadrons in France just Blenheims and Hurricanes from the models we have in the game?
Now with a real French plane in the game if this is right, all bases in France should have Blennies, Hurris or D.520, with Spitfires coming over from England.

Battle of France - Fall Rot Event this weekend

    Hi All,

We are just putting the finishing touches on the revised Fall Rot mission, to ensure that the new aircraft included will not do anything 'odd' to the mission.

So, to cover off on everyone who is keen to participate, this weekend we will be running on Sunday Oct 4, 1930 GMT. NOTE THE NEW TIME

We will also run the same event on Saturday Oct 10 at 1930GMT.

Team Fusion's Pattle will be Livestreaming both days.

As mentioned earlier in the week, we will also be including Bf 109E-4 (out of St Omer) to allow blue flyers, not accustomed to the manual prop pitch E-1 and E-3 to join.

For those super keen to fly the D.520, maybe for the first time, we recommend checking out the flashcard included in the manual folder, and familiarise yourself with this very fun to fly aircraft.

    Hope to see you there.

    Cheers,

    TFS Team

    Yes. Tobruk needed.

From Pattle‘s post: „Please note: To take part, you will need to own Desert Wings Tobruk.“
