    1 second stutter/freeze per minute?

    Hi all,

I'm loving the game but I have a problem with it that I've had for as long as I can remember, well before the latest Desert Wings add-on in that approximately every minute I get 1 stutter or freeze for about 1 second then the game continues as normal for another minute, then another 1 second freeze and so on.

I've tried messing with the graphics settings, I've tried turning off all back ground programs not required for the game, I've tried messing with NIVIDIA control panel, I delete the cache folder before every session and still I get the 1 second/minute stutter. I've learned to live with it but its quite annoying, especially when lining up for the big money shot!!

It happens during online and offline play.

    Any ideas are greatly welcomed.

Cheers and continue the good work!

I had this problem also. Read on this forum to limit your Frames Per Second, FPS. Now I seldom get the stutter. Have you gone into the NVIDIA control panel and done that? I have mine set to 60 FPS, although the recommendation was to set it at 30. Prior to that my FPS would be running above 100 and I thought that was great! I have noticed no derogation in performance.

    Thanks Bill,

Yea I've got my frames limited, it was the first thing I tried. Set to 51, I suppose I could try 40.

    Cheers

Set your max refresh rate like the one of your monitor minus one ( For example 60Hz set it to 59 ).
Low latency mode on Ultra or On.
Vsync ON on FAST in the Nvidia CP and ON in the in-game video options.
SSAO set to OFF in in-game video settigs.
Anti Epilessy Filter OFF in-game video settings.

Re: 1 second stutter/freeze per minute?

Try the following: save all your .ini files under the My Documents/1C Softclub folder (so you don‘t have to redo your bindings, info windows etc.; basically back up the everything there except for cache) and delete the whole 1C folder. Not just deleting cache like you already did but everything. Let Steam rebuild it.

Than see if the stutters stop. Replace the default .inis with your own and see how the game runs.

Yep. When running the game disable any antivirus you may have and any program, not of interest or not necessary, running in background.

Re: 1 second stutter/freeze per minute?

By the way at what resolution are you playing? Maybe take a look here: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...ad.php?t=34326

The thread is about spotting capabilities but it have also, using the indicated settings/procedure, the chance of possibly let improve the FPS. You can try..In the worst case nothing will change from now...

Re: 1 second stutter/freeze per minute?

thanks again for the detailed response.

I have a triple monitor set up 5760 x 1080, I don't have an issue with frame rates and the game runs really smoothly, it's purley this 1 second stutter each minute. It's done this since even before Cliffs oDover - BLITZ.

I've stopped every program except what I need to run my PC, I only use windows anti virus, no extra programs.

    it's a real bummer!

Re: 1 second stutter/freeze per minute?

I don‘t think this is graphics related tbh. Does it seem like it is loading something every time it freezes? Seems like the game is updating something every minute. Just don‘t know what or why.

Have you tried deleting the 1C folder like I suggested (save your .inis!). Maybe there is something corrupted in there causing this.
