    I would have to agree that single player is still poor. I normally go online to play but when i do play offline its not a great experience. AI is still in a word "weird". What TF have done for multiplayer is exceptional and I love it but not everyone wants to go online. Most people start offline then build the courage to go online as i did. If offline has issues then they may not move on to online but just quit. That will not help the community expand but shrink.

    Hello All

    We actually did make a large number of changes to the AI in Single Player for the release.

    It is quite different from the original game... it has improved.

    Not perfect? Yes... it does need improvements.

    We have limited resources... as always, we are working on elements in order of priority.

    We didn't get to Truesky for the release.... we did get AI changes and improvements in.

    Now we are focusing on Truesky... when that is done, we'll get back to the AI... (and other elements)

    Obviously it would be nice if we could snap our fingers and see everything fixed instantly.

    Wish that we could.

    5) Can TF put user any more user-friendly triggers in the FMB? For example a 'pass into' rather than 'pass through'. I know it can be done with script but the lack of a 'making life eaiser' change like this gives the impression of not caring.

    6) Draw distance for buildings - Now this may just be me being lazy and not looking properly in the options, but buildings seem to pop in very late; I mean targets, airfields, piers. I pretty much have to scan in 'lean to ginsight mode' constantly. Seeing your target is a massive part of the game, can this be improved? If it is limited for performance, can this be made an option in single player at least, especially when flying a bomber it is ALL about seeing navigation points, target and your home base.

    7) Bonkers movement of ground vehicles; based on splines or whatever it is. Just makes me weep.

    I realise that these points can be percieved as, or indeed are, unfair criticisms and it is never nice to have work criticised, but I stress CloD has the best flying experience, damage, engine management etc. etc. and I love simple things like the colour of the sea in Africa. No other sim that I have tried can give these elements, but the my current concern is that if these things are not being addressed, is it then that they simply cannot be addressed because the code is not accessible? So am I dreaming of miracles?

    Thanks for your note.

    All the elements you mention are aspects we will look at fixing for the next module if not sooner.

    We focused on combat maneuvers and AI attacking and defending in the changes we added in TOBRUK.

    There are notable improvements to the original game.

    Some of the issues you mention are a function of the mission builder not programming his waypoints correctly... a matter of adding lines and AI 'combat stance' during the return to base.

    Thanks for the update on things.

    On the above point, what does that mean please and how can it be done, could someone who knows how to do this maybe put a demonstration up somewhere please?

    If TF 6.0 does not get made that means Team Fusion is shutting down.

    So obviously we would not continue our work.

    What you do not seem to understand is that all the members of TF have other lives and employment outside the game... we are not employed by TF... and the money might receive will never pay for the amount of work we do... unless you think $1 a day is a living wage.

    We are still just a bunch of enthusiasts who do this for fun.

    All of the coders who are working with TF are highly trained and experienced people who have years of working in these fields.

    It is not possible for inexperienced amateurs to come into this team and do the work that is required to implement changes such as mods to the AI behaviour or to add systems like VR.

    We would welcome people who have a level of experience that would fit with the tasks we have, but it is not worthwhile for us to bring in amateurs, no matter how well meaning they are.

    The same applies to the work required to create the very complex 3D models of aircraft and cockpits... amateurs can only go so far.

    In areas such as map development, the skill level in texturing and creating 3D models of buildings etc. required is lower, and we would welcome those who are willing to work hard and do the tasks requires to create maps.

    Ok, we found the issue which was causing the extreme rollrates with AI aircraft.



    There will be a correction for all AI aircraft in the next patch.



    Which unfortunately will not be till mid January as the combination of the North American and Euro holiday period and the later Russian holidays, (1C technical staff is based in Moscow) means there is a huge blank spot between now and when we can get this patch up on Steam.
