    Fiat g.50

    Hello guys!
There are a couple of questions about FIAT G.50.
    222.jpg 333.jpg
What devices are located on both sides of the cockpit?
Where do G.50 have fuel cocks?
Where is the Pitot Tube Heating Switch at G.50?
The incomprehensible situation with trimmers in this aircraft. The drawings and models have aileron trimmers, but they do not work. However, in the cockpit there is a wheel for controlling the elevatos trimmer of the steering wheel and its indicator. They work.

1 - ??? Anyway this controls not functional/interactive in CloD. My guess is that for open cowl flaps.

2- The fuel cock is in the left side of cockpit, not funcional/interactive in CloD.

    3 - ??? probable don't have.

4 - Real G.50 have only "Stabilizer Adjust" - like in Bf 109, aileron trim tab is only adjustable be ground crew, rudder have no trim.
But in game G.50 allow adjust aileron, elevator and rudder trim (an leftover of generic controls used in CloD on release).

BTW - In CLoD G.50 brakes and weapons trigger animation is inverted, brakes is the "mushroom" over the control column.
Tobruk Fiat Cr.42 and Mc.200 have this correct, as well D.520 that use similar system.

Documentation about Italian - and French, planes on Web is very rare and poor in information.

For game purpose, Chucks manual is sufficient.

    Thank you 1lokos!
I see that some systems do not work in CloD. I asked about them for my own knowledge.

I think the red levers left and right are the gun synchronization gear levers.
You have to engage the gears so that the shots go through the propeller.
I guess you disengage the gear when not firing not to wear the mechanism.
The CR.42 has the same levers, both on the right side.
    Not implemented in CLOD.

Sulla fiancata destra (On the right side)
    • Innesto sincronizzazione arma destra (Right hand weapon synchronization engagement)
    • 'D' in the top view of these drawings.

    • 'S' leva comando sparo (firing control lever) = what actually "play" as wheel brake lever.

That is, the button on the control stick of Italian aircraft is the wheel brake?

    On Italian fighters, yes.
It is different on the BR.20

And as 1lokos said it is wrongly modeled on the G.50, where it is switched with the gun trigger for whatever reason.

See in this picture that the knurled lever (in fact gun trigger) is turned back on control column, because are in position "Sicure" (safe).

Tuning the lever to front can fire both machine guns, a bit for right or left of front only right or left machine gun.

Ergonomics are not much considered in this times.

G.50 gunsight reticule size are too wrong (since il-2:46, and IL-2GB (BoS) MC.200 are too wrong - don't know if was fixed).

Reticule size was increased in CLoD lately.

    Re: Fiat g.50

Thanks for the clarification. Now everything is clear. However, G.50 is still an underperformed aircraft. It has only a elevator, but all trimmers (atavism))) work in it. I checked - it is.
