Actually that movie does show off the P-40s very nicely but yes Loyd is a little over the top

It's ironic that the 'Sherman' was depicted as a 'German' tank in the movie, as it would accommodatingly brew up the first time it was hit by a German heavy tank, whereas the latter would sustain multiple hits before being knocked out. The manufacturers decided there was no profit in wasting money on research and produced masses of hopelessly outclassed tanks. The Americans could afford the casualties, unlike the Germans who protected their crews with thick armour and high velocity guns.
