    Re: Disable AI spacing

Are you asking about aircraft spacing within an air group? That cannot be set for AI aircraft.

If you fly as group leader you can order your formation to spread out.

From the menu. Press TAB->6->2->4 for far spacing, TAB->6->2->1 for close.

The simplest way to set the spread factor of your escort, is by typing <cdist100 into the chat line. The numerical value is a percentage of the default (not exactly sure of the default spacing is). When you a type in a factor greater than 100, you are telling the cover aircraft to spread out by that percentage i.e. <dist200 spreads the cover aircraft by 200%; whereas a factor less than 100 will tighten up the formation i.e. <dist50 will tighten up the formation by 50%.

    Hope that helps explain things

Parde is talking about spacing of Cover or Bomber Escort aircraft in the TWC server which uses totally different C# to accomplish this. Single player was covered by Oscar and to my limited knowledge no other server uses tis advanced code structure.

    Yes, clear.

Can you explain again how the <cdist nnn command works?
Is the number nnn for the distance between the escort(s) and you, or between the AIs within a group, or a combination of both?
I guess that for fighter escorts, it increases or decreases the radius of freedom around you. What about AI bomber escorts?

    Re: Disable AI spacing

Yes sir we do not exactly know what was used to set ai distance in the core but we have amended our c# to allow yiu to close up the default core distance by % so <cdist100 makes no change since it is 100% or original code but <cdist75 brings them 25% closer then they were and <cdist150 moves them out away from each group and your aircraft so now spacing from your air craft is further. the flight path to the target is set with the last <k######,###### there they will go and drop. However if you are also going there flying the beam they could possibly run into you since this puts them in mode22 all on there own.

sorry until TWC_Flug gets back home my explanation is the best I can offer. His will be 100% accurate and he will answer any questions you may have.<S>Fatal
