    VorpX l-2 Cliffs of Dover

Hello, I have tried to get Il-2 Cliffs of Dover working with Vorpx but with no success (HP Reverb G2). It simply will not attach to the game.

I easily managed to get Vorpx running with the older IL2 1946, as well as other non-sim games, but not with Il-2 Cliffs of Dover (Which was the main reason to buy vorpx).

    What I already tried:
    – Created a VorpX Shortcut for COD
    – Enabled Admin Mode
    – Enabled alternate hooking method
    – Tried all different Cloud Profiles

Has anybody faced similar problems and has an idea what to try next?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

I have experience with vorpX, but it was getting more freezes as time went on, having to ESC out and back into flight to get things going again

Since then been using Nero Game VR on steam
I've always used my Oculus with Opentrack, since I could not set mappings with VorpX's built in headtracker and it works fine

Hey, thanks for the reply! Does COD work with Nero Game VR for you then?

    Seems to

It has similar issues with the mousecursor disappearing, but I haven't rigorously tested it out yet

Did you look at Kraut's guide posted on the 1C forums?

    https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic...gs-for-rift-s/

VorpX is not an official addition to the game... it is not true VR... TF appreciates the work that has been done, but it is a 3rd party program.

Re: VorpX l-2 Cliffs of Dover

I have found VorpX to be generly next to useless.

In cliffs it will put you in the headset. But in 2d not 3d.

So you can look about.... and get a flat rendered image with a greatly reduced field of vision.

I found no way to get it to render in 3d with cliffs.

I gave up on that since 2d in a headset is a lot worst than track ir without the headset. Unless you like tunnel vision i guess.

Definitely a sacrifice i will make for 3d. But not just for the sake of wearing a scuba mask in 2d.

VR is awsome. But not when it's half working. Then it's total rubbish.

Tried it with GTA V too.... again gave up with it.

VorpX is an interesting idea. I haven't found any use for it though myself.
