Finally French traktors on French airfields!!!
I'm sure this was a game stopper for many!

    You guys are just unbelievable!

But it is very good to hear that the SP content gets constantly updated and improved.
I think this is really important.

    PS:
But now I'm worried about the translations of the mission briefings ...

Only slide 32 was corrected in the German flashcard. So for those who have printed it out previously, you only need to reprint that slide (Wellington-5).

The map now shows the Lybian-Egyptian border barbwires, a noticeable landmark for navigational purposes.

Yeah, I finally realised that the UP.107 tractor was a French one that the Germans just captured. That's why it's set as a German vehicle by default (due to CloD starting off as just the Battle of Britain).

    PS:
But now I'm worried about the translations of the mission briefings ...
The non-English briefings will still have accurate information in regards to the actual mission at hand

Re: Cliffs of Dover/Desert Wings Tobruk Patch 017 - Changelog

The five playable flights in The Old and the New are:

    - No. 250 SQN RAF flying Tomahawk II/trops on a fighter patrol. One of No. 250 SQN's pilots was the top Allied ace in North Africa, top P-40 ace of all time, and top Australian ace of WWII with 28.5 victories, Clive Caldwell. Caldwell was given the nickname 'Killer', which he despised, due to his shooting of enemy aviators in their parachutes if they were over their own territory (those who would become POWs were spared). This started after he witnessed a German pilot do the same to his friend Donald Munro. Caldwell was also known for his habit of strafing enemy ground troops while returning to base. He led the defence of Darwin with the Spitfire-equipped No. 1 Wing RAAF in 1943, and in 1945 took part in the Morotai Mutiny protest against the costly use of No. 1 TAF RAAF against unimportant Japanese positions. In 1946, he was demoted from Wing Commander to Flight Lieutenant for selling alcohol to US troops.
    - 4 St 9 Gruppo 96 Sq flying C.202 series IIIs on a fighter patrol. 4 Stormo was the first unit of the Regia Aeronautica to use the C.202 in North Africa.
    - 56 St 20 Gruppo 351 Sq flying G.50 trops in defence of a supply depot.
    - No. 14 SQN RAF flying Blenheim Mk.IV/trop lates on a bombing raid against a supply depot.
    - No. 274 SQN RAF escorting No. 14 SQN with Hurricane Mk.I-FB/trops.

The Wellington's Lorenz Blind Landing System indeed now works, but I'm finding it very difficult to use successfully so far. Oskar has been very helpful and encouraging - a lot of practice is needed. Still, this is a very cool feature to have on hand now.

    Indeed.
Yet, the aid of longer range radionav would also come in handy to allow you to align on the Lorentz beam from far away.

Yep. I’m practising with He111 H6’s. Primary freq set to 302, secondary to 301.

This is a great find by Noofy.

This thread was archived in an early beta testing forum, so I’ve moved it here:

Ah, yes, I apologize for not realizing that my first link was to a thread in a restricted forum for beta testers.
Now Snapper moved it, albeit to another restricted forum, the “Wimpy Squad”...
I guess the solution is either to request access to the Wimpy Squad, or to wait for Snapper to move it again to a more public area...

I’ve copied this thread to The Flight School forum here:

    https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...178#post371178

Everyone now has access to see the early development of the Lorenz Blind Landing System to its current implementation in aircraft on both sides.
