My apology if this had been covered in the past, but I couldn't find anything.
Is it possible to map the view zoom-in and out to the mouse wheel instead to a keys or joystick buttons?
Cheers, Peter

Short answer: No
Longer answer:
The current zoom is not an axis but a "More" and "Less" keys. If you manage to find an external program that can convert/map the wheel movement to two keys, then you could in theory make it work.
Due an "It's CloD!", the funny thing is that inside cockpit zoom - practically useless*, is controlled by... mouse Y axis.
* This "zoom" don't affect external view, if my memory serves me correctly, for default assigned to press and hold right mouse button and move mouse back and forth, or similar awkward combination.
I'm thinking of doing a joystick with an encoder in the thumb position for doing zoom.

Easy to be achieved by using VoiceAttack. You set the word of choise for the command then you can chose how much inputs will be put on the mouse wheel.
VoiceAttack cost about 10 US dollars ( IIRC ) and it works like a charm.
Learning to use it is quite simple and straight forward.

Thank you all for the replies. Looks like there isn't a way to map the zoom to the mouse wheel. Using voice commands could be an option but doesn't appeal to me. So I will map the zoom in and out to two keys on the joystick instead.
Cheers, Peter
