ATAG_Oskar has just uploaded TacView support!
This is TacView support version 1.0. The installer creates a directory where flight files are saved and installs a DLL. Both these are in the install directory. Consult the manual for more information.

This is great Oskar. I've been hoping for Tacview support for some time. Features like this help keep CloD in line with newer flight sims.
Tip for users like me. If you don't get flags after you start a battle see here: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...ad.php?t=12292
Credit for this is due to OBT~Eazy who wrote most of the release code and the installer. Also thanks to Maru who gave me the necessary boot in the ass to get started on this.
Hi all,
We hope you enjoy this tool and you appreciate it as much as we do for having developed it!
Please, send us your feedback, we'll appreciate it.
Thank you.

I had to look up what TacView is

I've tried it in combination with an offline mission and it worked just fine.
Great work on the plugin, I think this will be highly appreciated by people.
Things I have noticed so far:
- All Bf109s currently show the same 3D model which depicts an F. Would be nice to have the Emils show their own model at some point?
- There is no indication of aircraft firing their guns. In BoX you can see a depiction of rounds in the air which helps with judging wether your rounds fell short or not.
- Similarly there currently is no indication of aircraft taking hits. In BoX there's a small flash whenever an aircraft takes damage.

Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately the models presented in the TacView database are limited. See here : https://github.com/Vyrtuoz/Tacview/b...g.Military.xml
But you're right, there is several models for 109's (base, E-7, F-2, F-4,...). We will be more specific in the next version.
We can add models in the TacView database to it but we need the help of a good 3D object modeler to create the silhouettes of plane in OBJ format (the same as for 3D printing).
Yes, same in DCS. Unfortunately this is part of the limitations of this tool. We do not have access to the ballistics of the projectiles (we hope that one day this will be the case. )

I have emailed TacView regarding the projectiles (bullets and bombs) and Mr Raia has responded me with this, hopefully it helps getting that important feature to know if we hit something.
Hi Maru,
It works the same way as aircraft and ground vehicles. Here are my recommendations:
For bombs:
- Use the type [Weapon+Bomb]
- You could use the complex coordinates (same as for aircraft) such as
- T = Longitude | Latitude | Altitude | Roll | Pitch | Yaw | U | V | Heading
- U & V are the native x (meters east positive),y (meters, north positive) coordinates in IL-2 flat world. Altitude is considered as the z coordinate (ASL meters).
Here is an example:
904,Type=Weapon+Bomb,Name=Mk-84,Color=Blue,Coalition=Allies,Country=us
904,T=3.4103281|4.0974792|692.04|-1.6|-32|187.5|-318254.63|23912.39|191.3
For bullets/shells:
- Use either [Projectile+Bullet] or [Projectile+Shell]. You can even use [Projectile+Shell+Heavy] for artillery / boats heavy guns to display a nice trail.
- Export simplified coordinates: T = Longitude | Latitude | Altitude | U | V
- You may omit the shell/bullet name if you want to save space since it is usually not visible in Tacview.
Here is an example:
303fa02,Type=Projectile+Shell,Name=weapons.shells. 37x263_AP,Color=Red,Coalition=Axis,Country=de
303fa02,T=3.4245889|4.084821|3.45,Type=Projectile+ Shell,Name=shells.37x263_AP,Color=Red,Coalition=Al lies,Country=de
Objects IDs are 64-bits so you should have enough room to output any id you want for the bullet without any collisions. Note that you can recycle IDs which are not used anymore (from previously killed object for example).
Let me know if this helps.
Take care,
Frantz
Thanks Maru,
I wonder if tacview itself manages the trajectories and the hits of the bullets and shells or if we have to send ourselves the positions of each projectile at regular intervals (1 / 10th or 1 / 100th of second).
Unfortunately the recorder does not have access to this data at the level of its instance (aMission).
EDIT:
I spoke faster than I thought. Of course, we have to send the trajectories of each projectile.

S!
First of all kudos to the makers of this application and to get it into CloD. But also some bad news why TacView has been disabled from some servers or set a delay in the recording: people use it as a real time AWACS to exactly know where all friends and foes alike are. Includes ground targets. Sad and unfortunate abuse of a great tool.

Just what the doctor ordered. Many thanks, Oskar. Happy New Years to all.
Just bought Tacview and Cliffs of Dover. Thanks.
