    VR News

Our VR Team are working hard on making a brilliant VR experience on release. We are really happy with progress to date.

We recently also shared some photos of the reworked Spitfire cockpit, with new 3D components, which will give VR users a better visual experience when the big VR update arrives.

Here is the WIP of the right side of the Spitfire cockpit. With many of the existing aircraft already having 3D cockpits, much of this work towards VR implementation is complete.

    trueSKY 4K Graphics Update

Work is coming along very nicely on the future implementation of trueSKY, 4K landscapes, and 4K aircraft externals. We will be releasing WIP images very soon.

    Aircraft Code Improvements

All RAF and Luftwaffe aircraft codes have been corrected, revised and improved. Whilst many players may not have noticed inaccuracies, we had, and these will be fixed in a soon to be released update.

    Audio Update

We recently released a WIP video of the improvements to the Spitfire in cockpit engine sounds. Our sound engineer is currently working on a number of areas in the game to bring to the community an improved audio experience. Keep a look out for more updates in this area, as we will include updates as they are completed.

If you missed it, here is the YouTube video:

    Single Player News

A new single player RAF Spitfire 10 mission campaign, is currently in development. This will be released as a free update for all owners of Cliffs of Dover Blitz once it’s complete.

The campaign will follow No. 610 SQN as it faces the first week of the Luftwaffe offensive against Kent, with most missions based on actual dogfights and raids.

Check out the action in our latest video release, promoting this exciting new campaign.

We hope everyone is staying safe in these times, and look forward to seeing you in the Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Desert Wings Tobruk Skies.

    Regards,

    TFS Team

    Thanks for the update!
Single player content is most welcome.

I don't have VR, but I'm sure this is great news for those who have it.

I pop in regularly to eagerly check for truesky updates and I am most disappointed by the lack of feedback in this most anticipated improvement of late. VR seems to have superceded truesky in the update threads without it even receiving a mention.

Thanks for the great work you continue to do here.

    Hi Rince,

trueSKY hasnt been superceded. Work goes on in tandem by different members of the team. Like any multi-facted project, some areas are at times ahead in development than others.

    Cheers,

    Pattle.

Setback, I wish I could like your post twice.

The markings I remember discussing way back, it's amazing to see the more historically accurate ones finally added to the game!!

    Just on a side note:
wouldn't it be better not to update on a Friday?

Friday evening in the European time zones is a rather popular time for flying.
But servers need time to be updated to the latest patch. This evening I tried several times to connect to TWC campaign, which is the most popular server atm but it is still not available (I have no doubts at all that Flug and the others are working hard to get it going).

But maybe another day of the week would be a better choice.

    Thanks for all your work

    S!

You're right, of course. That's why the usual (19 out of 20) patch day is Thursday.

    Sometimes circumstances delay a patch.

That's probably my fault for throwing the new RAF code letters into the mix at the last minute.

No, no, not at all. These will be in the next patch. The delay was caused by something completely different.

I already know some of the Server Admins (TWC, Kendy, myself ;-)), but DerDa has a point here: Anybody running a 24/7 server: Send me a PM.
