Introducing myself...

Hello ATAG,

My name is Jason. Long time flight enthusiast here. Just recently diving back into the world of combat sims and stumbled on ATAG. IRL I am a husband, father, and one time former student pilot who flew and soloed a 152 twice before running out of cash and deciding I was a little old to chase my dream of pursuing a career in my love of all things airborne. The next best thing I have found is the love of the virtual version that we probably all share here. I also have a soft spot for mechanical watches, pinball machines and dogs, but not in that order.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to seeing you in the sky perhaps.

Hi Petro......(sorry, I shorten everybody's name!) ....and welcome to CLoD! Delighted to have yet another 'long time flight enthusiast' here. I think we can all relate to that!

In another life I would have loved to learn to fly....perhaps another life where money was a little more plentiful.....but as you say this sim seems to fill a gap! Once you are ready do come and join us all on multiplayer. There are numerous servers running CLod Tobruk and the Battle of Britain map and you will soon learn that this is a very friendly, cooperative (and often hilarious) environment! In short, a great plce to relax and catch up with friends whilst keeping the antics of those wicked Blue pilots in check! Come and say hello on Team Speak and you will get a warm welcome.

I have been in a 152 a few times but not actually flown one haha! I have flown gliders a little though with an instructor.
Watches are definitely pretty awesome, though I am happier tinkering with cars as they are not as easy to break
