    Help with Beaufighter Gunsight

    Hi guys,

Flew my first night mission in a Beaufighter campaign, and the Beaufighter has a tinted filter that pops up when you toggle the gunsight on that makes it impossible to see your target at night. I know how to increase and decrease the reticle crosshairs brightness, but is there a way to keep the tinted filter from popping up or to illuminate it so you can see through it at night? What am I missing?

    Thanks!

Yes, there is a "clickable" switch on the gunsight (although you don't actually see the switch, when you move your mouse curser you will see the information text). Click there area as indicated in the pic below:

Click this area as indicated in the pic below to turn the dimmer off:

You can also assign a key in the 'Options'.
That is easier to do, especially in flight, because in the Beafighter I always had the impression that there is a huge 'clickable area' in the cockpit that will dimm the sight, while there is only one tiny little spot you have to hit, for turning it bright again.
Setting the gunsight in cockpit is also extremly cumbersome in the Beau, keys work much better (luckily you don't really need to set convergence in the Beaufighter with those four centrally installed cannon.)

    Hi Bucksnort,

the command is "Toggle Gunsight Dimmer".
It's located in the Aircraft section.
