I'm finally going to give DCS a whirl with just the monitor, no VR yet. I purchased win 10 and got 24 gigs of ram installed. Tried the demo out and it ran great. The question I'm asking is this. Can one add moduals downloaded from steam to a copy of DCS that has been downloaded from the Eagle Dynamics site. Eagle Dynamics doesn't take Paypal, that's the problem.
If your intention is to only buy modules through Steam, you are best to install everything through there. Buying through Eagle Dynamics' site offers some benefits (access to betas/early access sooner sometimes, more frequent sales, etc.) but other than that, everything makes its way to Steam eventually.
