    VR Headset Recommendations

Greetings All. Looking to pull the trigger on a VR rig. I was pretty much sold on the Oculus Quest 2 but was was wondering if battery life is an issue if connected to a PC. Of course planning to use with sims and upcoming Clod upgrade. Any recommendations and/or insight appreciated. Thanks in advance!

With the Quest you'll also need the USB cable otherwise you'll burn up CPU / GPU cycles as it tries to communicate over WIFI. HP Reverb G2 is probably best pound for pound VR set out there right now but you need a 2080+ to run it. Lots of people are raving about the Varjo Aero but it's €2K and probably needs a 3090. For your machine I'd find a Rift S second hand and give that a go first and see how you get on. Have a paddle before diving in.

Well Santa brought me a Quest 2 for Xmas so I that's where I'll start. I built a new rig, specs are in my signature. I had to use my GTX1070 as I'm just can't bring myself to pay more that MSRP for a new card.........yet. However I've been surprised how well DCS runs in VR on the rig.

    Re: VR Headset Recommendations

So.... There has clearly been some alpha testing occurring. Do you have any insight into how we should say set up our Steam VR settings to get a good start before we start beta testing? The biggest game in town is how to optimize settings to get other related games running optimally. Not sure that helps beta testing as that thread will go on long after VR is released. Not sure that beta testing should start from scratch. Advice?
