    Re: Windows 11 Report Mandate

I (OP) have taken the plunge and upgraded to Windows 11. Very smooth process. It's supposed to be more secure and seems to run slightly faster than Win 10 did. Some minor features have changed but no big deal. I personally wanted a tray clock with HH:mm:ss, so I downloaded this freeware to solve that little issue.

I'm building my new rig with an Adler Lake CPU. i5-12600K. In reading about the Intel Thread Director designed for those CPU's that's in Windows 11, I'm considering upgrading myself. I just purchased a retail USB W10 Pro from Microsoft. I contacted them and they confirmed I can download the W11 .iso to a flash drive and use my W10 key for a clean install. Just put the rig together last weekend and only have the OS installed. Interested in the reports from those of you who have upgraded.

    It's fine.

My VPN to the office stopped working. Which was a bit of a worry.

Then there was a minor update and it was all back working again.

Other than that brief VPN outage I have had no issues.

    Looks a bit different.

    Works fine.

Was that minor update applied to the OS or the user?

It was a known issue. Bug fixed by clicking windows update. Clickety click.

    Re: Windows 11 Report Mandate

Did a clean install of W11 on the new rig Saturday. So far very positive. There are not many of us CH Products users left but CH Control Manager seems to work in W11 as it did in W7. Had to do the MS Store work around to get it to work in W10. I'll report back after a few days but so far very happy with W11.

Thats good news Axe I am an ardent CH products fan. The Msoft store work around for Win 10 was fixed a while ago. Anyway a relief it all works in Win 11

    Re: Windows 11 Report Mandate

So still happy with W11. Only issue I've encountered is an internet one. I'm using Chrome over MS Edge as the default. Occasionally with I open a link or web page I'll get a " Site can’t be reached, Server IP address could not be found" error screen. It will only last a moment then continue to the site. Has been a couple of times downloading drivers or update required a "retry". However the OS itself I really like the changes and features. Cliffs seems to run just as good as W10 on it and as noted in my earlier post my CH controllers are working great!
