Introducing the "Flying Tin Cans" Campaign - Autumn 1944

The 'Flying Tin Cans' or 'FTC' is a multi-national, historical reenactment community who fly virtual campaigns in the IL2 Great Battles simulator. FTC boasts 80+ members from all over the world who come together every Sunday starting at 1800 Zulu to participate in the event.

Every campaign is thoroughly researched, sometimes even down to the very days and hours that operations occurred to generate the most authentic and fun experience possible. Squadrons represented within the campaigns are squadrons that flew during these operations, and members represent them with pride, battling it out in the skies of WWII.

We also host a Pilot And Mission database (PAM) which catalogues every squadron and the members' reports which are completed after each sortie. Any air-to-air victory, aircraft loss, or even if you were wounded gets recorded in this system. Getting shot down and killed during a mission means you will lose your 'character' and will need to start over with a new name, and hopefully with some better luck!

Any and all skill levels are welcome, there are no formal courses or requirements and we have a team of dedicated instructors for anyone who would like help or feels they need to brush up on any aspect of flight sim aviation skills that may need a bit of work.

Head over to https://forum.flyingtincans.com/ and introduce yourself!
