We need a flyable Defiant !? Yes! totally different

Imagine a fighter where 2 players try survive against single player fighters... fun and games for all

This is totally different to all other fighters, bringing a fresh, new aspect for players ... yes..

Plus Dunkirk can be defended .. and a WotIf if defiants went to Spain !

So many exciting new game opportunities..

    Won't happen.
This has been discussed multiple times.
The amount of work that would be required for an aircraft that people would try a few times for the novelty factor then back to their favourite ride, it, the team would be better focusing on an aircraft that would be popular like a B17 or B24.... or B25 for example.

The Defiant (if it was a big team) would be very cool, but sadly it isn't viable for the size of the team in comparison to the the rewards it would reap for them

There would be so many planes I'd love to see in game!
And the flying the Defiant together with a friend? That would be a hoot!
But, as Mystic said, it is a matter of resources at TFS.

And adding such a plane as flyable is not enough. Then it depends on the mission builders to create scenarios that make it worthwhile to fly these crates.
Especially in multiplayer most people tend to get the best/fastest/most modern aircraft they can get for their purpose.
TWC for example, obviously did spend a lot of time, energy and thought into brining players to use ground attacking aircraft. Still very few do. The Beaufighter mainly is used as a heavy interceptor and (since its performance got more realistic with Blitz) nobody ever uses a Stuka anymore.

I wonder whether the Mosquito, if we would ever should get one, would not share the same fate: everybody loves it, nobody is flying it.

Ok, thanks, I'll go whine and complain in the FS2020 forums .. lol

Who knows, I might win the lottery and fund it myself.

Fieseler Storch 152 and a Piper L-4 Grasshopper for the Allied guys to help downed pilots. Put points into the game for it.

Now that I remember there was a really good episode of Combat were a Grasshopper pilot is injured and the soldier is the one who actually has to fly the plane out. If I remember it was quite a funny one. Keenan Wynn was the pilot.

    It's not a bad idea, it's a good one.
Unfortunately it takes a great deal of time to create a workable cockpit. That means that the cockpits that most people will want to fly (in) will be the ones that will be created.
If you want to provide funds that will enable the creation of more cockpits then we will consider making them, and you will be thanked for doing so.

“Nobody is flying it”? The Mosquito seems to have been very welcomed in DCS.

Indeed, I would also argue that there are many successful fighter-bombers in TWC, according to the campaign stats:
    http://brenthugh.com/twc/113days-campaign-stats.htm

The Stuka requires a mix of patience and courage, it's hard to come back alive if intercepted. But it's very nice to lead the AI in a dive.

Not that I don't understand the argument concerning the Defiant. I would also be very interested in flying it, even if only a couple of times. Tried using the Welli gunners for interception, couldn't make it work

Oh......and if it was a cockpit that many had asked for but again has no chance of seeing the light of say....the Do-17 would win hands down for most requests (probably)

I remember that Team Fusion anounced the Bf108 with 'dual control' option. Unfortunately there are some code issues which cause problems and glitching to the point it is not releaseable.
