    Wink Hello

Long time simmer here, been playing since Janes Navy Fighters.

Mostly been flying modern stuff, but just recently got the itch to fly some old birds again.

I must say it's a real challenge after getting used to modern conveniences like radar, datalink, IFF and missiles xD

    Welcome to the forum, unclejunkie!

As you’ve discovered, the transition curve from modern aircraft to vintage WW2 aircraft is very steep, where you have to trade an entirely whole skill set for a new one. Nonetheless, I’m sure you’ll get that done soon enough. If you decide to try multiplayer I hope you’ll join us on Teamspeak - we’d be pleased to wing up with you.

It’s great to have you onboard.

Hi Uncle.......good to have you here! A lot of us here are sufficiently 'matured' to remember the old sims. God! Haven't we come a long way?
I remember enjoying Jane's Fighters and flying the P38 Lighning and the P47 Thunderbolt...against those dastardly neubleweuffers - however you spell 'em! I thought that was a cut above as far as flight sims went. I then went onto European Airwars and thoroughly enjoyed that. Then Il 2 Sturmovik, of course, which
lead me to Cliffs of Dover in 2015. Never looked back since then!
Had a total ball. In fact, if you enjoy Cliffs half as much as I do, then I will have enjoyed it .........twice as much as you!

As Snapper has mentioned, Cliffs is a tough learn so if you have any questions fire away on this thread. In the meantime, have fun and and hope to 'wing up' with you soon. Salute!
